Helicopter...Deluxe Waterfall FlightExplore > United States > Kauai > Helicopter...Deluxe Waterfall FlightOverviewWaterfalls, canyons and valleys - the beauty of Kauai You'll fly in the newest "Super ASTAR" helicopter in the islands, which provides a smoother, quieter flight. It's equipped with leather seats, more leg room, air conditioning, floor to ceiling "Mega Windows" for unsurpassed viewing, Bose X-stereo noise cancelling headsets, and a 4-camera video system to record your tour via VHS or DVD. You'll also enjoy choreographed stereo music and narration of island history and topography. Kauai is a precious green gem and this flightseeing tour will give you a close look at all her facets. You’ll be amazed at how such a small island can behold so much breathaking scenery. During your helicopter trip over Kauai, the incredible history, geology, and beauty of the “Garden Island” will be revealed. Since only 20% of the island is accessible by car or foot, getting up in the air in a state-of-the-art helicopter is definitely the best way to discover this island paradise. We'll have approximately 55-60 minutes in the air on this 100+ mile tour of Central Hawaii, where scores of Hollywood directors have captured its unmatched beauty on the silver screen. Our experienced and knowledgeable pilots will highlight hot spots on the "oldest island in the Hawaiian chain." We'll depart from Lihue Airport and fly along the Hoary Head mountain range into the Hanapepe Valley and circle the Manawaipuna Waterfall, well known as the "Jurassic Park waterfall." We'll soar over Olokele and Waimea Canyon--the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific"--where several waterfalls cascade down the Napali Coastline, and ascend over Kokee State Park and major valleys along the Napali Coastline. View the North Shore, Lumahai Beach, Hanalei Bay, Namolokama Mountain. Descend into the tropical rain forests of Hanalei Valley and view multitudes of waterfalls. Weather permitting, we'll view Mount Waialeale Crater--"the wettest spot on earth" with over 450" of rain per year. We'll fly near Wailua Falls, as seen in Fantasy Island, prior to returning to the airport. Your helicopter seats 6 passengers facing forward, affording 180 degrees of viewing with no physical aircraft obstructions. Mega-windows (floor to ceiling) allow unsurpassed viewing (37% more than the competition) and Skylight windows provide vertical viewing in the Crater. Additionally, 2-way intercoms allow you to converse with the pilot. - If you wish to purchase a video of your trip, you may do so after the flight. - You will be required to furnish the height and weight of each passenger. Be prepared to weigh in for this tour. Those weighing more than 250 pounds or more (including clothing, footwear, and cameras, which may add an additional 10-15 pounds) will be reserved extra space on-board the helicopter and will be required to pay an additional amount as reflected in our pricing chart. - Each helicopter carries a maximum of 6 passengers. - This tour does not operate on Christmas Day or Easter Sunday. Only the a.m. times are available on Thanksgiving Day. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
