Overview

This water and land based tour is the best of both worlds and totally private!

This water and land based tour is the best of both worlds and totally private!

Venture out to the east end of Roatan! Depart from Oak Ridge in a wooden canoe-type boat (with a small motor) where you'll get to see the island from the beautiful pristine waters! We'll pass by some local towns like Jones Ville, Lucy Point, and Jones Ville Point.

Travel through a tunnel of mangroves...just beautiful! At the end of the tunnel, you'll arrive at Carob Point, where a lot of foreign investors have vacation homes and businesses.

Next, you may opt to stop at one of the most famous bar & grills on the island called "Hole in the Wall," for a drink or a bite to eat (optional). Alternatively, at this point, you may want to stop at Turquoise Bay for a quick dip in the water and a bite to eat (please refer to "Special Instructions" in this tour description).

Once we're back at Oak Ridge, your vehicle will be waiting for you to continue your land-based tour through the cultural village of Punta Gorda. Your driver/guide will fill you in on all of the interesting histories in this area.

- The price of this tour does not include meals or drinks.
- We suggest that you wear a hat, reef-safe sunblock, and sunglasses.
- This tour involves choosing between different activities: a) Stop for lunch at Hole in the Wall or b) Stop for beach time/lunch at Turquoise Bay. We'll ask for your choice during check out.
- Please note: If you decide on the beach stop, you'll need to pack beach essentials (towel, swimsuit, etc.).
- This tour can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs. Please contact ShoreTrips for more details, and to inform the tour operator ahead of time. Some portions of the tour may not be wheelchair accessible, but the guide can work with you with advance notice and provide you with meeting information.

- There is a minimum of 3 people for this tour.
- Please note: Each boat holds 8-10 people, so if you have a group larger than this, you'll be split up into different boats.
- The boat is a wooden canoe-type boat with a small motor attached to it. There are wooden benches inside the boat that vary in size (4-5 ft long). Some boats have a little wooden shade and others are completely open. They are "islandy" boats, but safe.
