Ixtapa & Zihuatanejo Highlights TourExplore > Mexico > Zihuatanejo > Ixtapa & Zihuatanejo Highlights TourOverviewGet to know Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo, people and culture in this wonderful sightseeing tour. We'll begin our day by driving through Zihuatanejo. The main part of downtown Zihuatanejo ("El Centro") is still rather old-fashioned with narrow streets made of paving-stones and where most people still walk to get around. You'll fall in love! Next, we'll continue to Ixtapa. We'll make a couple stops for photos from the best viewpoints. We'll proceed into the countryside by driving you to a fruit plantation that provides produce in this area. Your tour guide will also take you to see a demonstration of how local artisans make the roof tiles and bricks by hand, using ancient techniques. A very interesting stop! Also learn about the customs and traditions of the towns in the area. Visit Petatlan, a 20 minute drive from Zihuatanejo. Here you will see the most famous cathedral, Papa Chucho Cristo De Petatlan, a church famous for its many miracles. - We include 1 beverage with lunch. If you'd like more, you may purchase on site. - Each passenger will receive a bottle of water. - This is mostly a driving tour, but there are several stops where you can get out and walk around. Please dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes. Please note that in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo there is some confusion about ship time vs local time. Please see your purser on your ship to clarify whether your ship changes its time to local time so you do not miss your excursion. As each ship is ruled by its captain, it is your responsibility to confirm this while while you are sailing. - Minimum 2 passengers Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
