Overview
Get to know Tobago's history, culture and villages!
Sunbathing is fun. So is shopping and snorkeling. We know, we offer thousands of wonderful excursions that involve activities just like these. But sometimes we feel the need to really explore an area and hear the real stories and the real history. For us, vacation is not only about relaxing, but it's about getting to know the culture of a place that is different from ours. This tour is designed to introduce you to the beauty of this magnificent island, the history, its forts and culture.
We'll start out with a lovely drive down Tobago's Caribbean coast where you'll see many gorgeous beaches along the way such as Castara and Englishman’s Bay, with their stunning views and picturesque villas. We'll also pass the Main Ridge Forest Reserve, various fishing villages and lots of impressive scenery en route!
Next, we're off to Charlotteville, a cool little fishing village that's home to one of the most beautiful beaches of Tobago, Pirate’s Bay. As we come up from over the hills, you'll first first see a spectacular view of the bay, the village, and then the "Sisters" formation (3 large rock formations jutting out of the sea)! It's a photographer's dream spot!
Next, we'll head for Speyside village where we'll stop for a fun, delicious local lunch at the famous "Tree House" (you really eat up in tree). Finally, we will visit Fort King George, a historic monument built back in the 1770s with incredible views, before heading back to the port.
Lunch is included in the tour price. Please wear comfortable sportswear. You're going to want to have your camera on this trip.
