My first cruise stopped on St. Lucia and I cringe at how I wasted my day on an island with so many opportunities. I think of my taxi ride with the driver who couldn't understand me and I have yet to figure out which narrow beach he dropped us at. All I knew was I couldn't relax without details about how I was to get back to the ship.
But nobody will rob your memory of a wonderful experience such as this day will prove to be.

A visit to the magical Piton mountains, now an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known to Oprah Magazine readers as the number one thing we must do in our lifetime.

This is a luscious day - just writing about it brings me back to St. Lucia. Of course, the tour starts on a catamaran so you can capture the extraordinary coastline with your camera. Our guides will highlight the areas of interest as you pass them. All of a sudden, you will be at the base of the Pitons, as they eerily rise from the sea.

A visit to the Drive-In Volcano in Soufriere will educate you on how the island was formed. On to a natural waterfall, where you might feel like you are on the set for "South Pacific". Move on to a working plantation and relive the culture and tradition of the 18th century plantation owners as you enjoy a beautiful buffet lunch in an exotic setting.

The experience on St. Lucia would not be complete without the opportunity to splash around its unspoiled waters or just relax and digest everything while lingering on a hidden beach.

Although you think your adventure is coming to an end, your return ride by 10 passenger open-topped jeep will take you through such a beautiful portion of the island that you might feel as if you are driving through the hills of Italy. You can sit back and relax while you watch a mulitude of Kodak moments. Your driver will stop along the way to let you capture a few.

If for some reason the jeeps are unavailable, the trip will be a full day by catamaran.

Visiting the southwestern coast is the most beautiful part of St. Lucia. The roads are winding and if you are predisposed to motion sickness, we suggest you bring sea bands to enjoy this gorgeous ride.
