Golf The Royal St. Kitts Golf ClubExplore > Saint Kitts and Nevis > Saint Kitts > Golf The Royal St. Kitts Golf ClubOverviewThis seashore paspalum grass found on only a few courses in the world will challenge your game. Beautiful ocean views are what you'd expect from an island golf course and you'll find that here. This redesigned course is exciting and competitive. Now, if you can just keep your eye on the ball, and not the water! Enjoy your time on St. Kitts by brushing up on your golf game and adding a new course to your list of those played. The Royal St. Kitts Golf Club was designed by Peter Thompson, a 5-time champion elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame, and originally opened in 1976. It was redesigned by Thomas McBroom and reopened in 2004. At this full-service course, you'll have the opportunity of adjusting to a new surface which has been installed here for your pleasure. Seashore paspalum grass, used in only a few golf courses in the world, is an innovative breed of grass that is found throughout the entire golf course. This hearty grass is the best in the world at handling salt water and provides a superior playing surface. The rich, coarse surface allows you to perform quick-stopping chip, pitch, and approach shots. The seashore paspalum also allows you to stike your putts more firmly and with less break than other grasses. For your convenience, there's a restaurant on the premises with a full golf club menu. - You'll need to take a 15-minute taxi ride to the golf course. It will cost approximately $16 round trip, per person. Your driver will give you his phone number and the club will call him when you're ready to return to the cruise ship pier. - Non-golfers can accompany and ride along for an extra fee, payable to the course upon arrival. No reservations are necessary for this. - The cost for club rental with 2 sleeves of balls for adults is $65 and is payable on site. Club rental for children is $20 (no balls included).
