Limited Mobility Driving Tour Of San JuanExplore > Puerto Rico > Limited Mobility Driving Tour Of San JuanOverviewLIFT VAN - This wonderful company will show you every inch of San Juan accessible to you. San Juan is a wonderful city and the nucleus, Old San Juan, is a walled city full of charm and character. Some of its streets are paved with small grey-blue cobblestones which were brought over as ships' ballast, and are lined with colonial churches, houses, and government buildings. This wonderful operator has made it his business to show his city off to everyone, particularly those who have mobility issues. He is personable, flexible, and will deliver San Juan to your door. You will be picked up at your cruise pier or your hotel in a state-of-the-art vehicle with wheelchair lifts. This wheelchair-accessible vehicle will tour you around San Juan's tourism sites. We have designed an itinerary that will allow you to see the city in detail. Where the streets are narrow in the Old San Juan, you will travel past many wonderful architectural sites, such as the Cathedral, Fort San Cristobal, Parque de las Palomas, the Pablo Casals Museum, and some of the lovely plazas where men and boys play games on concrete tables day and night. You will be able to tour El Morro, which was built in 1591 to defend the entrance to the harbour. Here you will be directed to ramps to allow touring, also available at Fort San Cristobal. You will have some freetime in San Juan and, if you like, our guide has a wonderful restaurant with local dishes that will welcome you. Cost of food is not included in the tour. Wear a hat, sunblock and bring your camera. The charter price shown covers the first two people. The 3rd through 5th person pays the per person rate. Maximum two wheelchairs. Late departures are frequently requested. Please be advised that the sun sets around 5:30pm in San Juan (depending on the season) and some public buildings are not open. You must purchase the charter first. Then add additional passengers as needed. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
