OverviewCheck out 2 of Jamaica's real treasures! Whether you're just in for the day and want to see Montego Bay and the surrounding area without being in the midst of the cruise ship crowd, or you're here for the week and want to shop and get out of the resort, this tour is the answer. This tour includes: • Round trip transportation • Entrance fees • Visit to Rose Hall Great House • Stop at West Indian Art Gallery After meeting you at the cruise ship port or your hotel, we'll head out to our first cool location, the Rose Hall Great House. The legendary Rose Hall is the most famous great house on Jamaica. At its peak, this was a 6,000+ acre plantation, with more than 2,000 slaves. However, it was Annie Palmer, wife of the builder's grandnephew, who became the focal point of fiction and fact. Called "Infamous Annie," she was said to have practiced witchcraft. She took slaves as lovers and then killed them off when they bored her. Hear many more tales of history and witchcraft during your visit! As part of this tour, we'll also hunt for some unique souvenirs at the Gallery of West Indian Art. This is the place to find amazing paintings by many local artists! A corner of the gallery is also devoted to beautifully carved and painted birds and animals. • Food, beverages, and/or gratuities are not included in the price of this tour. • There is a minimum of 4 people needed to run this tour. • This is not a private tour.
