This island is gorgeous, part sophisticated French culture and the other of physical beauty. See both on this tour. It is unfortunate that the island is based on the euro which makes it too costly for us to offer anything but shared tours. Put a group together and you will have the best time here!
Guadeloupe gives travelers a taste of France in the tropics. It offers some excellent beaches, lush terrain full of gorgeous scenery framed by mountains. The island is the shape of a butterfly and most people will begin their exploration from the heart of that butterfly.
Each wing is a different part of the whole. To the east is Grande-Terre, full of rolling hills and sugar plantations and much more development. Basseterre, to the west, is a rugged, mountainous island dominated by La Soufrière, a live volcano. Banana plantations dot the land and the mountains are covered with tropical forests and white sand beaches.
On this tour you will venture on picturesque roads that are bordered by the sugarcane fields and picture-perfect landscapes. Your first stop will be in one of the most beautiful floral parks of the island, Le Domaine de Valombreuse, where you will be surrounded by tropical flowers from all over the world. It is a place where you will be able to observe local birds as well.
Reboarding your vehicle, you will continue on to your second stop, the Guadeloupe National Park. You will take a short but interesting walk into the rainforest to experience the density and there you will also be treated to the sight of the small but beautiful Crayfish Waterfall.
The last stop is one of the most famous distilleries in Guadeloupe, Le Domaine de Severin. We will take an informative tour of the estate before you have the opportunity to sample some of the delicious rums and punches. There will be a short shopping opportunity before heading back to Pointe-a-Pitre.
