Best Of Both Worlds: Island & Beach TourExplore > Barbados > Best Of Both Worlds: Island & Beach TourOverviewDiscover the beauty of the island of Barbados AND spend time at a breathtaking white sand beach. Discover the rich history and vibrant culture of the small Caribbean paradise of Barbados, then kick back on the sun-soaked, palm-adorned beaches and dream the day away. This tour includes: • Round trip transportation from the cruise ship pier • Barbados island tour • Beach visit • Refreshments Visit/see: • St. James Church • Rock Hall • Highland Lookout • Bathsheba • Sugar cane fields Start off by driving up the west coast to St. James Church, the oldest church on the island, which was built in 1628! We'll go through Rock Hall, the oldest village on Barbados and the first free village established by former African slaves; and then onto the Highland Lookout, where you'll savor the magnificent, panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean and the lush, green vegetation of the island. There will be lots of opportunities for amazing photographs along the way. A drive along the eastern coast will bring you to Bathsheba, with its breathtakingly beautiful white sand beaches that stretch along a dramatic coastline of striking rock formations. Steady big rollers coasting in across the Atlantic ocean make this a surfers paradise, and, in fact, Bathsheba is the site of many local and international surfing championships. We will stop here for more picture taking, as well as refreshments--rum punch, fruit punch, and coconut bread--to give you a taste of the island flavors. After leaving Bathsheba, we'll drive through the center of the island's sugar cane fields on our way to the beach. Upon arrival at the beach, you have the choice of relaxing and soaking up the sun or swimming in the warm Caribbean waters. For your convenience, there are bathroom and changing facilities at the beach, as well as a restaurant. We will then arrange a time for you to be returned to your ship or to Bridgetown for shopping. • You will be served refreshments on this tour, including rum punch, fruit punch, and coconut bread. • Wear your swimsuit, and bring a towel and sunblock. There is a place to change at the beach if you need to. • Snorkel equipment is not provided. If you want to snorkel, you'll need to bring your own equipment. • The touring portion is approximately 2 hours long and the beach portion is approximately 2 hours long. You will be responsible to meet your guide at the arranged time for the return transportation to the port. • Bring cash for any food/beverage purchases at the beach. • This tour requires a minimum of 4 people. If you have less than 4 people in your party you may still book the tour and we will do our best to match you with other guests. • This is not a private tour. • Best for ages 4 and up, although there is not a minimum age on this tour. You must supervise your children at all times and especially at the beach. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
