Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   This resort has everything you could possibly need in one place! From shopping to spa services, and with restaurants that open onto a private beach, this is a great place to relax. There are plenty of activities planned each day for varied interests and skill levels, and the concierge service is very helpful in getting those set up for you. This resort is about 5 minutes from the Lihue airport, making it super easy to get to. There are several state parks nearby with great views of sunrise/sunset and lots of trails for walking or hiking. Our room was on the smaller side, but with so much else to do we didn't spend much time in it anyway. The bed was quite comfortable and the kitchenette was fully stocked with basic appliances and dishes.

Review:   Expected more from this pricey resort. After landing around noon I called the hotel to see if my room was ready so I wouldn’t be stuck fully clothed at the pool all day and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. At arrival, I was given a different story that since I requested a single-king (at booking!) I would have to wait until the 4pm “guaranteed” check-in time. The front desk clerk Sarah acted as if she was doing me a favor by even allowing me to have a room! Never was given so much attitude at a hotel, no less one that I paid an arm and a leg for. Amazingly my room was the VERY last room in the entire resort to be cleaned since it wasn’t ready until exactly 4pm. Then, while waiting at the pool for my room after a 10 hour flight... it took 45 minutes after placing my drink order to get a drink in my hand. I wouldn’t book here again.

Review:   If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... We just spent a week at this fabulous resort. This place is perfect in winter with calmer water and sunnier skies than the North Shore. The pool is set up perfectly with more than ample lounge chairs and even more available across the sidewalk onto the grass and shoreline. You can watch surfers, cruise ships and feel the ocean breeze with drink service! The rooms are modern with great beds, fridges and microwaves. The view from our room was spectacular and quiet--i never heard a single noise through the walls like I do in most hotels. I would recommend this place to anyone. There were several dining options and a fun barefoot bar--Duke's. Great kiddie pool as well!

Review:   Just visiting friends that were visiting the island. They enjoyed the hotel and amenities. The beach there is nice and the restaurants that are in the hotel serves awesome food. There's a Duke's restaurant also that has an awesome salad bar, prime rib, seafood and pasta options. There is also an Italian restaurant with great Italian food. Great beach front hotel, with 2 shopping centers within walking distance with more awesome restaurants and shopping.
