Overview

Walt Disney Imagineers worked hand in hand with locals to create Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina—a place that celebrates Hawaiian culture, history and traditions. From contemporary Hawaiian art featured throughout the Resort, to myriad recreational activities, entertainment, excursions and more, Aulani immerses Guests in the legends of the islands so you can experience the true enchantment of Hawaiʻi.

The master chefs at Aulani have created a variety of dining options for you and your family. We use the finest local ingredients and offer something to please almost every palate.

Aulani is a family paradise with a touch of magic—where everyone can enjoy amazing adventures, both together and on their own. Adults, teens and kids each have their own special places here. And there's plenty of family fun, too.

From the white-sand beach and "valley" of pools and waterslides to the multitude of recreational programs and exhilarating excursions, Aulani provides something for everyone.

Surf in crystalline waters, ride horseback through lush valleys, learn to cook Hawaiian cuisine or kayak through protected offshore islets. Each excursion is entertaining, educational and fun, so your entire family can take home a greater appreciation and understanding of the Aloha State—along with unforgettable vacation memories.

Aulani is part of the Ko Olina Resort Community & Marina, which features spectacular beaches, a championship golf course, shopping, snorkeling, sports fishing and more. Located on the western shore of Oʻahu about 17 miles from the Honolulu International Airport in Hawaiʻi, Aulani rests on 21 acres of beachfront property.

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   A good resort, but the biggest challenge is that it is overbuilt for rooms and under built for services. When you pay $750 or more a night it's ludicrous to have to wake at sunrise to claim a lounge chair. Hundreds, and I mean hundreds of chairs are "reserved" by guests at sunrise so if you go down after breakfast you're out of luck. There's literally no place to sit unless you want to go down to the beach itself. You must find one unclaimed chair and hope to build your claim through out the day. The resort claims it will remove abandoned items after one hour but we never saw that happen. Even though the chairs next to the one lounge we did find we claimed for four hours and we alerted staff, they were never freed up. Two plus hour waits for character breakfasts were commonplace and we decided to eat across the street most of the time. There are positives, the kids loved the pools, slides, the reef was a big hit and the beach services were easy to use. Typical for Disney the cost of food was eye watering, a poolside lunch for three is $100, but that's not a surprise. The service was really good and reasonably fast. Finally, we did witness an issue in the slide where there was a problem with a guest and the team was very quick to respond and ensure that the child was safe and the ride was secure. You hope to not see such things but it does bring confidence that the team is trained and responsive.

Review:   We are just at the beginning of our stay, but so far it's been a wonderful experience! The cast members are so friendly and always helpful. We were greeted with smiles, alohas, leis, and cold water. Check in was easy. There's a lot of information, but they explained everything and what you don't remember, they will happily help you with later. The views are amazing. The room is comfortable and very clean. If you rented a vehicle, take advantage of the valet service for the same price as paid parking. I'll have to update this later as we are just beginning our stay...but so far it's been a wonderful experience!

Review:   We stayed for ten days. I would definitely recommend having a car to explore the island. There are few choices within quick walking distance but plenty within a short drive. There are daily activities for just about everyone in the family. It highlights the Hawaiian culture more than the Disney brand, but there is still a Disney presence. It is tough to get lounge chairs except on the beach area. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be back.

Review:   Beautiful resort. A lot of character visits. Food is good but overpriced. If they could charge you for the air, they would. They even charge you for the little shampoos. Only two water slides and in Disney fashion, the line is long. Lots of things to do for the kids. Easy to find a quiet spot to hang out. Nice private beach. I'll be back when my kids are older for sure.

Review:   This is a magical and enchanted place for the entire family. The rooms are well done and service is excellent! Not a fan of their food, traditional Disney food but many local places to try the local foods and most rooms you can cook if you wish. Outside activities are well done with lots for kids to explore. The lazy river are fun and there are other many pools to go as well. One of the best resort stay I have ever experienced. Outstanding decor, theme, and Disney touches. I enjoyed the area and the stories behind everything. A must stay if you visit Oahu.
