About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Review:   Nice resort, but nothing to write home about. Jam packed in the tourist district, no escaping the crowded beach, no escaping the poverty, and shopping that is proceed over what the destination has to offer. Nothing wrong with the resort, it's nice, but it's not really an escape from reality. It's a different level of enjoyment, one that I do not wish to seek out when I am trying to have a true island getaway. The best yep will be one where you venture away from Waikiki. Votes are what you expect from a corporate high rise. Dining and drink prices exceed what is offered, Waikiki just wants your money. On a positive note, all the employees are incredibly friendly, it said did a wonderful job accommodating the requests.

Review:   Busy resort style hotel with a great location right across from the beach. This place is perfect for families with the beach across the street, the Hololulu Zoo a block away and many food options within a short walk. On the property are a very good Sushi restaurant as well as a steak place. Rooms are clean although a little dated. Spend the extra and get an ocean view room. Sitting on the lanai with all if Waikiki below and the sunset in the distance is priceless.

Review:   Lucky enough to get upgraded to a corner junior suite that has partial ocean view and mountain view. Unfortunately it was a one night stay for work with a $400 per night rate. So it was not cheap. They also charge a $37 resort fee, the only good is that the fee included one breakfast buffet. The resort is just beside the beach and you have lots of choices of restaurants and activities close by. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Review:   This is a nice resort hotel. The rooms are good size and clean. The views are fantastic. The balcony is of good size with 2 chairs, a drink table and a lounge chair. The elevators are fast, so I never had to wait long for a ride up to the 24th floor. The restaurants on property were very good and there are a couple other places one block away. The pool is not huge but of decent size, and it was clean. The beach is across the street, so who need a pool? 😋 The staff treated us very well and acknowledge our Marriott status. All in all, if I come back to Hawaii, I will stay here again.

Review:   Not our best experience with Marriott. Upon arrival, the parking garage elevator was broken. When I asked about partial reimbursement at the front desk I was shut down. Also if you are an ELITE member do your research and stay elsewhere. They were unable to accommodate late check out, did not give me an arrival chocolate (as advertised), I received no resort map, and they will only accommodate 1 person for complimentary breakfast. The rooms are nice and all of my other dealings with the staff were pleasant. The gym was great and I also got great exercise walking up five flights of stairs again and again in the parking garage. This is a prime location in Waikiki. I hope my experience was an off day. I will stay with Marriott in the future and hope for a better experience.
