About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   It's okay. It's a nice hotel, but really feels like a tourist trap. The best part about the property is its proximity to the beach. You can't get any closer, but that can be said of all the beachfront hotels. The lines to check in/out are pretty long. They do try to mitigate this by having very gracious team members expedite the process, but it still takes longer than most hotels. It's also a about half a mile off the main strip, but they do have lots of of the same shops on the property, so there's little need to go to the strip if you don't want. Overall, it just feels really dated. I would recommend the Hilton Garden Inn, if you're going to stay in a Hilton property in Waikiki. I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars.

Review:   There is so much to do on the hotel campus (which is beautiful) and it is very close to pick up locations for tours, good restaurants and other fun things to do. The lagoon and the beach at the back of the hotel are also beautiful and well-kept. It can feel a little crowded when everyone is up for the day/around major meal times, but it's easy for people to spread out over the expansive campus. The only drawbacks are the elevators (a bit slow and they fill up quickly), but we loved our stay. Additionally, we got engaged at the hotel, so we'll always have that happy memory, too. Highly recommend this hotel and the Bali Steakhouse (We had dinner there the night we got engaged).

Review:   The hotel was amazing, only docking a star because the staff could use some retraining on customer service. I had an issue with my TV and maintenance never came, I just ended up unplugging it. I asked a staff member where I can have money wired or if that's a service they might provide and he made me prove I was a guest before offering any help, once it was confirmed I was a guest he went to the back and asked and directed me to a location in one of the towers that had stopped wiring money well over a year ago according to the staff in that location. Had a few other questions during my stay and staff made it seem like I was bothering them to ask, but being my first time in Hawaii you would think they'd try to gain a loyal customer. Also my Hilton honors was not added to my stay. But like I said, the hotel itself is awesome and I would probably stay here again just due to the location and the rooms.

Review:   Had a wonderful 4 day stay. Service was excellent, people that work there were very helpful. Loved hanging out at the pool. Fireworks display was awesome. So many things to do. Weekend entertainment was exceptional and what didn't hurt at all was a beautiful full moon. A great 4 day weekend to recharge my batteries, because everything I needed was right there on property. Yes the price was a bit high, but got a good deal. It was worth it.

Review:   Great for families. You’re close to the night life and shopping areas. Our hotel building originally was the Diamond building but concierge upgraded us for free to the Rainbow building with amazing views of the lagoon and beach, just because we mention we’re celebrating our 2 yr anniversary and last time we stayed here was 2 years ago. Very nice!!!!! If you need a place for peace and quiet, this is not for you. This is a busy hotel but very organized and plenty of room to enjoy yourself at the pools/beach/lagoon.
