Recommended for: Families, Young Couples
Pros: Iberostar Bavaro was a nice surpise. Spacious rooms are found in quad casita buildings which takes you away from the big concrete block format. Lovely extra tall palms grace the grounds, intertwined with water features. It's very pretty. It's spacious, you will do a bit of walking. Staff was wonderful and attentive without being intrusive. A La Carte Restaurants were surprisingly good! Beach, as is all of Punta Cana, Stunning. New to the resort as of July a great rock program in the theater and it had guests on their feet. Well done and great fun! Great kids pool and the well known Iberostar entertainment staff works hard to do just that, entertain you. Cons: Other than your room and a la carte restaurants, the majority of the complex is open air. It can be a bit oppressive to sit in the lobby, where wifi signal is the strongest - the hummidityy as with all tropical areas can wipe you out quickly and we all look for cooler areas to relax. The complex is undergoing changes in wifi and satellite tv options. Their room wifi is not compatible with tablets and their satellite tv is slow and limited when it comes to English stations. They know this and are revising their system this year. The lower level staff speaks very little English, something else the company is working on. The upside, it's a great opportunity to practice your Spanglish! |
