Overview
Our cabins and hotel feature clean, quaint and comfortable hotel and authentic Alaskan cabin lodging. Our hotel also features a complete trip booking/reservations desk, Alaskan restaurant and bar, and on-site laundry facilities. We also offer complimentary transportation between our hotel property and the Denali Park Alaska Railroad Depot.
From our reservation desk, you can book exciting activities like river rafting and flightseeing. You may also want to enjoy Doyon's other tour offerings, Kantishna Wilderness trails and Kantishna Roadhouse. Kantishna Wilderness Trails offers a unique one-day sightseeing trip into the heart of Denali National Park. Our comfortable buses offer all of our visitor's ample space to maneuver and take photos of wildlife & wilderness throughout the day of travel in Denali Park. Our trips make frequent stops for wildlife, all points of interest, and of course... when nature calls. The round-trip journey doesn't end at the Eielson Visitor's Center like other trips, but continues on through Interior Alaska's historic Wonder Lake district to the end of the Denali Park Road. After a satisfying lunch served at the Kantishna Roadhouse, you'll make your way back through Denali Park, with additional chances for wildlife viewing and sightseeing.
Kantishna Roadhouse is an all inclusive lodge in the backcountry of Denali National Park. The Kantishna Roadhouse is located 95 miles inside Denali Park. This full-service backcountry Alaskan lodge delivers an experience you won't find anywhere else; including first-rate cabin accommodations and activities ranging from fishing and hiking to gold panning all in the shadow of Mt. McKinley.
Doyon Tourism is owned and operated by Alaska Native people of Athabaskan Indian descent. One of the top goals of the company is to provide opportunities for education, training, and employment of our shareholders. We look forward to seeing you this summer in Denali National Park!
Denali is such a beautiful place it attracts world-class experts who will share their passion for the area. Our Tour Desk can help arrange trips for you (this booking service provided at no extra cost) with all of the vendors in Denali. We recommend that you wait to make your arrangements until you get to Denali so you can work around scheduling, weather and energy issues.
Several of our cabins are "on the river" and enjoy a full, uninterrupted view of the Nenana River. These cabins are available by making advance reservations.
At the end of a full day of activities, guests may enjoy a relaxing drink on one of the riverside sun decks that await you at Denali River Cabins. A view of the surrounding mountains and musical rush of the Nenana River create a perfect place to relax at any time of the day. We are proud of our excellent service, relaxed atmosphere and comfortable accommodations at the Denali River Cabins. Our Alaskan staff is ready to do all they can to make your visit here the best it can be.
Oh…. the possibilities: Rafting the Nenana River – choose either a gentle scenic float trip or exciting whitewater adventure.
Flightseeing: Take a bush plane to Mt. McKinley and spy upon mountain climbers or maybe land on a glacier, take a helicopter over the Park or land on Yanert Glacier. During your visit to Alaska, you need to get up in the air at least once to experience the vastness of it all –take advantage if the weather is good. Learn the art of Fly Fishing – catch an Artic Grayling in a cold mountain stream or Lake Trout in Wonder Lake. Enjoy any excuse to revel in gorgeousness of the area.
ATV across the Tundra. Experience Alaskans "other car" in Alaska's Stampede Trail area.
Golf at midnight... because you can! Try not to hit a moose walking across the green. Go to the Dogs - Meet Iditarod racing dogs in Champion Jeff Kings Kennel (you get to hold puppies!), or hear about the Park Ranger's working sled dog program.
