Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   We stayed in a 3 person room, with one queen and single bed (which was also the couch). It should be noted this wasn't a fold out couch, so in terms of comfort it was very comfortable. The room was clean, tidy and very spacious. The decor however is quite outdated and the fridge in particular was very old and leaked. The cooking facilities werent the best, it was a plug in hot plate style, but they did have a electric frying pan which was good and a microwave of course. The blankets on the single bed were the very old style itchy blankets and the room was heated by a little plug in fan which did the trick but we didn't keep it on at night as it was very noisy. The TV reception wasnt the best and yes you get free WIFI but not much. It is also fair to say the room was never serviced. They only ever replaced the towels, they never made the beds or vacuumed our room, which would have been nice if they had done this at least once, as we stayed there for 5 nights. The owners were very nice and welcoming. Also the mineral spa was great, it was deep, hot and relaxing and definitely the highlight of our stay at Karaka Tree.

Review:   We spent 2 nights here in a downstairs unit. We enjoyed the mineral private spa, beds were comfy and bedding clean, good decent space, guest laundry...although $8 to wash and dry 1 load of washing was expensive. On the down side, the place is dated, divan couch in lounge is very old, uncomfortable to sit on, and hard springs in it, plus old as cushions did nothing to soften it. Around the tall bench was ugly dated corrugated iron. The first wine glass we got out the cupboard had old lipstick still on it yuk!. The t.v. is good size but the reception picture is not that great. Time for a major over haul guys.

Review:   Lovely staff who were super friendly but our room was so run down and in need of a good clean and makeover. The 1st thing I noticed was how dirty the bathroom was. It was a wheelchair shower with a fold down seat which was covered in mould. I folded the bed back to see stains all over the sheets which put all of us off sleeping in the beds. It's a shame because it's a great location and the staff are lovely but this place is tired.
