Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Best motel I have ever stayed at. Exceptionally well appointed everything you need and more. So very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this superb motel. It is child friendly with a fantastic playground right opposite and the beach is right there too.

Review:   Stay 2 nights in a beautiful room overlooking the bay. Woke up to some absolutely awesome sunrises. The attention to detail in this motel was absolutely brilliant. They even have make-up remover sachets and little grey towels with “make-up” embroided in the towel! Love the plunger coffee - sat outside on our little deck watching the sun rise with a coffee. Thank you for making our stay perfect owners Lyn and Paul - we certainly will be back.

Review:   Good location with great views, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds. Owners very friendly and helpful. Recommended the restaurant at the Pier Hotel and secured a great table for us for an excellent meal.

Review:   t was a very bad experience for living this motel. An old fat woman, seems like the boss, was at the front desk and had horrible attitude. The interior of house is old and smelled moldy, so it is not worth so much high price. The clean worker is too lazy to clean rooms, so they banned us from cooking at the kitchen and asked us to eat out when we arrived the motel. They even did not mention this rule on the website when I booked. We told them the reason why we booked your motel is for the kitchen and We would like to cook food. The most ridiculous response from them is we will be fined extra fee NZD$250, if the kitchen is messy and sticky. It really sucks. I strongly recommend every "Asian"traveler booking other wonderful motels with lower price and excellent service from Kaikoura. This motel is the worst choice without any recommendation due to discourteously racial discrimination.

Review:   Truly a beautiful setting over looking the ocean and mountains. A spotlessly clean unit and hosts going out of their way to help. A relaxing time and great weekend we will be back. Thanks lyn and paul. Regards chrissy and phil
