Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   I absolutely loved Atlantis! The hotel was great the resort was excellent. Though they wouldn’t let my little cousin on because he was a quarter inch short of 48”. Also since we switched rooms there were a lot of problems with the room key and meal plan. Other than that it was so hard to leave!

Review:   I really hate giving this place a low rating because SOME of the staff were so nice. HOWEVER, the lobby is so cold you could freeze meat in there, it’s very uncomfortable. (People we putting on jackets before they walked in) The room keys are easily deactivated, you can’t keep them by your phone or other cards. Even when we tried to abide by these rules our key still deactivated THREE TIMES in a couple of hours, leaving us to make pointless trips to guest services wasting our vacation time. We were never given our water vouchers which was supposed to be included. Now the room itself seemed perfect when we first walked in but we soon realized the phone didn’t work (so no room service which we love). Housekeeping accidentally took our remote control which led to us finding out that the Buttons on the TV also don’t work. It would have been awesome to call the front desk to let them know but no can do with a broken phone. 🙄 turn down service is also at 9:30pm which in my opinion is a bit late. After a long Day of exploring the area I’m sure most people are in their rooms getting ready for bed at that time. The ONLY reason I’m giving this place an extra star is because like i said before MOST of the staff was really kind. Atlantis itself is nice, but we paid too much money for the basic needs not to be met. Leaving disappointed.

Review:   Still a really fun place for people with kids taller than 48" (so they can ride the slides). Lunchtime pool food is overpriced and mediocre at best. There are good quality dinner options at reasonable resort prices but for many, you still have to walk through a smoky casino (which I personally hate). Not what it used to be a few years ago but still worth a visit.

Review:   I'm a frequent traveler globally and this is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I'm going to focus this review on the hotel only, though I have nothing positive to say about the resort property as a whole. I traveled here with my wife and son, and our experience was so bad we flew back home after only 2 nights of our planned 5 night vacation. Keep in mind that Marriott markets this as an "Autograph Collection" property - which are meant to represent higher end, "boutique" luxury hotels. + The rooms are extremely dirty ++ the bathroom floors were never cleaned from the day we arrived to two nights later when we left ++ the bathroom had mildew and mold that was never cleaned ++ the bathtub was full of dirt when we arrived and never cleaned ++ upon arrival we asked that they clean the bathroom the next day, and while the towels were replaced nothing was actually cleaned + the hotel is infested with insects ++ there were no less than 6 mosquitos in the room when we checked in. We asked the hotel to spray. ++ the next night, after they supposedly sprayed, we found 2 large cockroaches in the room. ++ Other guests we spoke to at the bar downstairs also mentioned seeing cockroaches in the hallways and in the rooms. + The staff is extremely rude ++ I'm a Marriott Platinum Elite member and when we arrived there was a sign directing us to a check in area for "platinum check in". We waited in line and then were told “this is the wrong line and is for Atlantis VIP only...but since you’ve been waiting I suppose I can check you in”. ++ On multiple occasions, we were asked, by the same person, to show our hotel cards just to get in and out of the hotel grounds to the broader property. +The hotel did not respond to our issues ++ every time an issue was identified, the hotel put us on >15m holds and then said they needed to send someone up to verify - which often took another hour ++ we were first told that they had no other rooms when we reported issues upon check in. They promised to clean and spray - which they never did. When escalated through Marriott Platinum services the following day, “they found another room” in the same insect infested property - even though we said we wanted a room in a different (and presumably cheaper) property. ++ we called Marriott and let them know we were leaving early and about all the issues. They said they would address it and get back to us. We heard from Marriott that they spoke with the hotel manager and were told that the issues were resolved to our satisfaction - which was a complete lie. I never spoke with their hotel manager.

Review:   The women there are very unprofessional and has no personality. They are not friendly at all. The resort is very expensive, you are charged gratuity even for a bottle of water you picked up for yourself of 15% plus a VAT tax of 12% for everything. The water was turned off for 6 hours and you has to find out the hard way, early in the morning when you needed to go the bathroom. Had to go to another hotel just to go to the bathroom. The next morning we wake up too an alarm going off in your room telling you not too leave your room, this is an emergency. No explanation at all. The Bahamas itself is beautiful and the Blue Logoon was a beautiful place to visit as well. The people there were nice and very professional.
