Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   A really good nights sleep, which with any hotel is the main thing. Well situated, within the City Circle tram route and easy check-in. Everything in our room was great, but apart from the comfy bed, the best was the large window, which occupies the whole of one wall and is shuttered by an electric closure which completely - and I do mean completely - darkens the room. Breakfast contains all the usual suspects, but there was a bit of a queue after we were seated, so timing your arrival might take a good guess as the seating is a little limited. However, although the Holiday Inn brand is reasonably no-frills, this doesn't really matter as Melbourne is on your doorstep!

Review:   Renovated rooms are modern with floor to ceiling windows that had blackout electronically controlled shades. However, as of June 2018, the hotel renovations are still ongoing. And to add to the construction noise is an ongoing city street repairs on both sides of the hotel making access to the hotel a bit troublesome. The fitness center is adequate and the pool on the first floor is blocked in by the hotel and the neighboring buildings. The lobby is small but sufficient to gather with a small group.

Review:   Clean modern rooms in excellent location. Two or three blocks to River Walk through heart of Melbourne. Prices are very reasonable for the area. It is in the middle of upgrades but sound never bothered us. Staff were always helpful and very pleasant. Would stay again.

Review:   Outstanding and upbeat attitude from the staff at the front desk. The room was spacious and modern. We found the room to be superior to 2 Crown Plazas we stayed at the previous week. Well situated for the walking tourist. Photo opportunities galore. The hotel's breakfast was superior, however as an alternative there are a dozen outstanding coffee shops within 5 minutes walk.

Review:   Newly renovated hotel in Melbourne CBD. This is definitely not your average holiday Inn. The rooms have floor-to-ceiling window with gorgeous view of the city. The staff are all very friendly and respond to your requests quickly. Sirocco, the restaurant in the hotel serves great contemporary Australian cuisine and fabulous coffee and desserts. Will definitely recommend staying here when you visit Melbourne! It’s also a short distance to 2 outlet malls 🤣😆💗
