Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Recently refurbished, the rooms are certainly fresh and spacious. The bathrooms are well setup (finally a hotel you don't get water everywhere). I like the touch of a wireless charging point for phones. My only complaint is that beer selection in the bar downstairs. They need to get out of the mainstream and at least have some decent craft beer in bottles.

Review:   The first person we met here at the Holiday Inn was a very kind receptionist who helped us and has continued to help us during our stay. From the first moment we set foot in the door, we have had nothing but helpful and friendly staff members assisting us in whatever we needed. Breakfast is delicious, and the proximity of the hotel to various attractions is such that walking is not a hassle, though the free tram's closeness to the hotel doesn't hurt at all. The Holiday Inn here on Flinders is a great place to stay if you are visiting Melbourne.

Review:   This hotel is currently under renovation, not that you'd know. I had a newly renovated room, which was comfy and bright, though slightly noisy air conditioning. Dinner in the bar was decent, and a surprisingly good range of beers. Service from the staff was lovely, though getting a card put under the door to thank me for staying with them might have been slightly over the top! (I'm platinum with the chain). The location is perfect if coming from the airport, and is just a short walk away from the Southern Cross train station (which is where the coach from the airport gets in). Would stay again.
