The Nam Hai

Along a seemingly infinite stretch of sand, amidst Vietnam's richest cultural heritage, a strand of sophisticated, visually striking villas lines the dramatic beachfront. Inspired by 2,500 years of history, The Nam Hai's architecture and interior design presents a dramatic play on wind and water inspired by ancient feng shui philosophy and the grandeur of the Tu Doc royal tombs of Hue.

Resort guests and residence owners at this award winning property enjoy impeccable service amid lush landscaping and unobstructed views of the sea. The unique and gracious culture of Central Vietnam combines with The Nam Hai's unprecedented splendor to deliver one of the world's foremost luxury experiences.

The Nam Hai looks after our guests beginning well in advance of your arrival, by facilitating all aspects of the visa process then welcomes you to treat our seaside retreat as your own home. Some memorable differences would include the Nam Hai's talented Concierge Team, on call around the clock to arrange private tours and excursions around our charm filled neighbouring World Heritage Site of Hoi An, off shore island jaunts and historic tours to My Son, Hue and the mysterious Marble Mountains.

60 one-bedroom villas and 40 pool villas spread over 35 hectares of tropical gardens and along the pristine shoreline of Ha My Beach. Top-notch butlers assigned to each pool villa ensure all guests receive unsurpassed hospitality with expectations exceeded.

Sought after contemporary Vietnamese artwork hangs in high ceilinged living spaces among delicate, hand spun silks and polished local woods. In all our villas, whether one, two or five bedrooms in total, each bedroom pavilion centres around an elevated platform inspired by traditional Vietnamese garden houses encompasses the king-sized bed, a sunken writing desk, padded divan and our unique lacquered eggshell bath. In each, the lavish bathroom opens out onto a private tropical garden with an outdoor rain shower. Pool villas add a private courtyard entrance leading to the temperature controlled swimming pool that makes plunging possible anytime of year, and beyond that a separate fully equipped kitchen and your butler's quarters.

Open kitchen or the endless horizon? Soak up both and more sensory pleasures among The Nam Hai's three unique dining venues. Cool mornings call for Eastern and Western breakfast favourites on the outdoor deck of The Restaurant. Come back in the evening for fusion fare in the sleek lowlit dining room. Refuel midday with comfort foods and the day's freshest catch at The Beach Restaurant, which transforms after nightfall with an extensive menu of Vietnamese delicacies. Before and after, The Bar makes a memorable impression as much for its serene setting high above the water gardens as its creative cocktails and live entertainment.

Explore the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Hoi An, My Son and Hue with its Buddhist pagodas, royal tombs and historic citadels. Return to our calm, tropical shore on Ha My Beach to relax around three expansive swimming pools, in the spa on a lotus pond, over gourmet Eastern and Western cuisine or in the privacy of one of our 100 private retreats, elegantly finished with Vietnamese lacquer and diaphanous silk, some of which are served by a most attentive butler.

Review:   Recommended for: Luxury, Honeymoon

Pros: The Nam Hai has a perfect setting on China Beach. You fly to Da Nang. The place caters to a "well traveled" crowd. Private villas, private pools. A spa that is the best in Vietnam, one of the best in Asia. There are two types of villas (oe and two bedroom) pool villa(with privte pool) or beachfront villas.

Cons: Very quiet...is that negative? No night life other than drinks after dinner and a bit of local entertainment. Food is pricey so it is best to book this with me and Virtuoso for some added amenities.

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Super relaxing and quiet resort. Beachfront Villas are private and have an amazing scenic ocean view. There are two restaurants with excellent Vietnamese and International cuisine. The tropical fruits for breakfast are superb, especially the fresh passion fruit juice! Ocean is clear and warm and very calm in the morning (good for wake boarding) and it’s a bit windier in the afternoon (good for wind surfing and makes relaxing on the beach more comfortable since the climate late May is hot and humid). Staff is very attentive.

Review:   This is an amazing hotel, wouldn’t change my stay here at all. Amazing staff- friendly and super attentive- as well as a really beautiful place all round, especially the villas with their own pools. They give you bikes to ride around the complex, and have things like yoga and meditation every day. Visited Hue and Hoi An from here with ease. Couldn’t recommend more!!

Review:   This is the most luxury Resort in Hoi An. They are owned by Four Season. It is estimated that they have thousands of coconut trees. You can experience joining various activities in the resort like water sport, cooking class, kids center, etc. The public swimming pool area is so awesome. People come here don't want to go out anymore, they even want to extend their stay here. Excellent!!

Review:   Incredible spot...very expensive, but also very lovely and very well done. The sand and ground can get painfully hot sometimes, which made it hard to enjoy some of the outdoor spaces. Staff were excellent. Tours we did with the kids were perfect. Kids club was small but good. Food was good, though you should get into town to try local stuff. A lovely 4-5 day holiday spot for a family...as long as your budget can stretch a bit.

Review:   I was able to take the cooking class. It started with a wonderful hands on community garden experience and ended with making a delicious meal that helped me like Vietnamese food more than ever. Don't miss this opportunity.
