Long considered the premier address of the Caribbean, Sandy Lane's legendary style makes it one of the most prestigious hotels in the world. Since first opening in 1961, its name has been synonymous with excellence. The fascinating heritage of Sandy Lane this Barbados resort is reflected in its distinctive personality and its iconic grace. It is a hotel like no other.

Sandy Lane has it all: a perfect location in Barbados overlooking the Caribbean Sea on a tranquil coral sand beach, shaded by mature mahogany trees, the timeless and classic elegance of the Palladian buildings mirrored in the spacious comfort of the 112 hotel rooms and suites, a stunning private villa, exceptional golf, gourmet dining, an outstanding spa, superb sports facilities and finally, an exceptional level of warm Barbadian hospitality.

For some people, holidays mean complete relaxation on a sun-lounger, moving only for a spot of lunch, a visit to the spa or a dip in the refreshing waters. For others, more active pastimes are the perfect way to spend the day and with our world-class golf, tennis and water sports facilities, we provide a wide-range of Barbados activities for the more adventurous. One of the beauties of Sandy Lane is that we accommodate any taste with a variety of things to do.

Perfectly set on the western coast of Barbados, frequently called the 'platinum coast' for the beauty of its beaches and sparkling waters, Sandy Lane is central to many of the island's sites. A 40 minute drive from Grantley Adams International Airport will bring you to Sandy Lane.

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   The Sandy Lane Hotel is a rather large hotel in Barbados, both in physical size and importance. Occupying a generous geographical area in the central regions of the Island (almost village like) and boasting a championship golf course plus another for good measure plus a myriad of amenities and activities for the enjoyment and entertainment of their patrons. Sandy Lane Hotel has sprawling well manicured grounds and gardens with breathtaking picturesque views. The customer service is quite good also the staff has a culture of making visitors welcome and encouraging repeats, treating all guests like family. Do not be surprised to be called by name and asked intelligent questions about your family (by name) and acquaintances, that is the extra mile (kilometer) that the customer service reps go to ensure that you feel as if returning to your summer home. Sandy Lane Hotel is an experience not to be missed and is one of the premier hotels in the region.

Review:   Unbelievable! What an experience! Fantastic in every way: food, service, and setting. Totally attentive but completely unobtrusive service that met every need and exceeded every expectation. The food was abundant and FANTASTIC!!! This is the pinnacle. The chef gave enough amuse bouche (each better than the last) to make a meal of their own and has mastered subtle but complex and brilliant flavor combinations. The barracuda was as exquisite as any halibut cheek I've ever eaten and the desserts (gold leaf adorned) were perfectly decadent. The restaurant is gorgeous and unpretentious and the grounds are a masterpiece. The entire experience was worth every penny and is a MUST in Barbados.

Review:   I've had a spare experience, afternoon tea and now dinner at Sandy Lane. The first outstanding thing to mention is the unrivalled service. From the moment you enter the welcome is warm, the atmosphere is enveloping and you are made to feel so very special. An experience (whatever you do there) not to be missed

Review:   First class all the way. From your greeting on arrival at the airport in Barbados, to the time they drop you off back there for your flight home, the experience is one of ‘paradise on earth’. The hotel delivers a friendly & attentive service, where all your needs are quietly catered for within a calm luxurious setting. Whether it’s in the restaurant or at the pool, the beach or the amazing spa area, there’s always a friendly & helpful member of staff looking to provide the perfect holiday experience. This all comes at a price, but is a truly heavenly time.
