Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Very happy with the room. The service staff were all very friendly and easy to work with. The breakfast buffet, included with the room, was very extensive and good quality. The only problem was not enough staff to clear tables and make/serve coffee.

Review:   Reception staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Room was immaculate. It was super clean because I usually sniffle in hotel rooms from dust mite allergies, and I had nary a sniffle. At the buffet breakfast, staff were again impressively organised and helpful. Food was good. Coffee was fantastic. Overall a great start. Hot tip: get to the breakfast restaurant by 8 if you want to avoid the queue for a table.

Review:   Staying at the Crowne Plaza was a great choice. I visited there on a four-day work trip, and everything seemed to go right. The hotel staff were professional, self-starters who were always looking for ways to help in whatever way they could. There were many great restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance of the location, which is important because it can be cold in Canberra and you don't want to be outside long. The rooms were modern, well designed, and the full size true King beds were very comfortable (none of that put two twins together and call it a King, so that it is very stiff in the middle). Also, the parking garage was easy to get in and out of, and there always seemed to be parking available. Finally, the gym was superb, and if you don't like to run or workout inside, there is a park adjacent to the hotel so that you can get some fresh air if you desire. All in all, you couldn't do better on a business trip than staying here.

Review:   First night car park completely full, second night can't find a soul for valet parking. Waited around like a lost puppy. But otherwise rooms are good, staff friendly and would stay again.
