Pros: This is a campground, with tent spaces, RV spots, and some cabins. I'll give this 4 stars not for luxury, of course, but for the facilities and the setting. The views of Lake Hawea and the mountains around are amazing, and the area is quiet and not nearly as busy as most of the other big lakes around. You're just a couple minutes from the town for supplies. Phenomenal trout in the lake, and amazing red stag hunting at Glen Dene, which like this holiday park is owned by the Burdon family. If you're backpacking around New Zealand, or doing a campervan tour, this spot should definitely be on your list.

Cons: None.
