The Fiji Orchid

The setting is stunning — in a tropical environment in the foothills of the volcanic Nausori Highlands and close to Saweni Beach, one of Fiji's most beautiful stretches of sand and sea. The highlight, however, is the property's own surroundings — in five acres of tropical gardens that showcase an extraordinary number and variety of magnificent orchids.

With only six villas, Fiji Orchid is very private and exclusive. Incorporating a restaurant, bar and lounge area, a boutique and a large swimming pool.

Overview

A sanctuary near Nadi where they can relax and refresh before or after a trip to their remote Fijian island paradise.

The Fiji Orchid is located 15 minutes drive north of Nadi International Airport and 10 minutes south of Lautoka. This is a sojourn for a discrete market — people for whom the art of travel is to pause at each step of a journey and savor the experience rather than feel rushed to catch their next plane.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   One of the most special parts of our trip. Breathtaking Fijian accommodations. Super private and quiet. Wonderful staff. Excellent food. And even friendly cats and dogs to follow you around. We thought the price was unbelievable for what you get!

Review:   The Fiji Orchid is a must stay if you love beautiful accommodation, delicious food, and the most friendly and helpful staff. Our free shuttle pickup driver was friendly and on time, and was happy to take us anywhere we needed. After our twenty minute drive from the airport we were greeted by three happy staff members who provided us with refreshing towels and a delicious tropical drink. As there are only six bures/rooms but over twenty staff, you are constantly taken care of, without the staff feeling like they get in the way. So many of the team remembered our name, and we were always greeted with a friendly ‘Bula!’. The staff were so willing to ensure everything went perfectly for us, from our early morning room service, to booking taxis and washing our clothes daily. We had delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner during our four day stay, with an especially amazing Fijian buffet for lunch on our first day. The only potential downside in my view is that it’s a bit off the beaten track, but the friendly driver is happy to take you anywhere. The airport is only about a twenty minute drive away, with Nadi being about thirty minutes away. The staff are always happy to call you a taxi, and you can even take a $2 bus into Nadi if you like (we did and it was a fun experience). Being a little bit off the beaten track wasn’t a downside to us, as it was a great way to see the real Fiji, rather than a hotel which could be anywhere in the world. I would recommend this resort to anyone after a relaxing break, and who loves to be treated like family. We will definitely be back!
