Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   The bad: Stayed here in summer and it happened to be quite hot. No air con in the room and opening the windows only helped mildly. Fans are provided but it really just moves the hot air around. Bathroom is very tiny, like, *very* tiny... The good: the four of us stayed in the family chalet room. Beds very comfy. View from upstairs was spectacular. Car park in front of your room. Location is pretty good even though you have to walk up quite a steep hill to get there. Close enough to walk to everything including the skyline gondola. Average overall but maybe would have gained half a star if we’d stayed during cooler months since lack of air con was a major issue for us

Review:   Worthwhile getting the room with the view. Amazing. Room was really clean too and room service was good. Would visit again

Review:   Unfortunately quite tired, in serious need of a refurbishment, and poor value for money. The small bathroom was particularly poor, with a very dated plastic curtain for the in-bath shower. It's not all bad, however, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the view of the lake is good and the location is great if you want to be close to the CBD.

Review:   To begin with the room was hugely over priced. The bathroom complete with mouldy wood rotting in the shower, coupled with the tub faucet almost falling out of the wall and being held by caulking is not a superior room. The view was blocked by vegetation. There was difficulty getting the heat working and the heater was old and looked like it was burnt. In addition the window facing the deck was cracked and shattering. Lighting was poor and the use of CFL bulbs tacky at best. For three nights at 800 plus dollars it was a rip off! Heartland.... Its time for a massive Reno to justify your gouging pricing.
