Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Not very modern. Most surprising there was no air conditioning in the room at all, I asked if this was the case for all rooms and they said yes. No real option in hot summer weather when the windows only open the tiniest of bits! Room service was good, and general cleanliness acceptable. It does feel like it needs a makeover. The doors had just gotten swipe cards so maybe that is a beginning of modernisation?

Review:   $20 charge to park in their own lot is a complete deal breaker for me, especially since it wasn't disclosed when booking was made. The 2% surcharge for paying with a credit card didn't help either. I understand that this hotel is trying to get back on it's feet after a gradual decline but levying hidden charges isn't the way to do it. Shower was good though!

Review:   We had a great stay here recently and would love to come again. Staff were helpful and friendly above and beyond what we expected, the location was ideal, the food was nothing short of amazing, and the room was terrific value for money. While a little scuffed and worn overall this hotel is a good one: a few cracked tiles and wobbly chairs can be forgiven if everything else is great! Highly recommended.

Review:   The hotel itself is excellent. Great location. Affordable but on this visit the weather was so hot and the afternoon sun caused the city facing rooms to be very uncomfortable. Had to ask for a fan.

Review:   Good hotel in a phenomenal location for Wellington. Tall building, but fast elevators. Worth mentioning that you only get 1gb wifi per room per day.
