Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Stayed two nights for a social event. Directly across from Southern Cross Station. Clean rooms and hot showers. All that I needed. Perfect. Well priced for the room. Id recommend to a friend. And return myself.

Review:   Hotel is in a great location and our room was serviced daily we had dinner in the restaurant on the first night but the aircon was so cold we didn't eat here again for dinner. We had no other complaints until the last day when we went down for breakfast the room was still extremely cold as our previous experience with dinner. The one staff member on duty did not give us an orientation and we had to ask where the juice was 'round the corner' she stated, and how do I order the cooked option ' the menu is on the counter' she stated We asked for pineapple juice and she stated it was only available for room service, when I questioned this she then proceeded to pour the juice from the fridge behind her. The cooked breakfast was terrible. The bacon had been reheated and was hard and inedible, the sausage was hard and also had been reheated. The continental options were poor no jams available and croissants tasted stale. We asked for 2 flat white coffee and were given very small cups ( short black I believe) and were charged another $4 each for these. We mentioned these issues on check out and were given a $20 discount for the breakfast however a final memory of this hotel after a 5 day stay this was very disappointing. 3 stars for the hotel no stars for breakfast, lots of great Cafes around serving excellent breakfast, freshly cooked and great value with fantastic service.

Review:   The hotel offered parking spaces for our two vehicles, however one of the vehicle had to enter the parking lot VIA the exit as the main entries roof was lower. Once in the parking bay, it was very tight and if you parked in certain bays, you had to leave the keys with reception as the vehicle would have been blocking others from entering or exiting. Nevertheless, the establishment was good, check in process was easy and finding our room was no troubles. The apartment was clean and offered everything we needed. The extra bedroom was not really a bedroom, it was actually two beds that folded down from the wall into the foyer section of the apartment. It did offer some privacy, but not enough as this was also the area to get out of the room. Check out was average, the hotel tried to charge us twice for the parking and we had to show them the EFTPOS invoice to prove it had already been paid, other than this, it was a good place to stay.

Review:   Very surprised at how stylish and centrally located this Hotel was. Just outside the door is the free tram (3 stops or 2 minutes) into the heart of town. We walked most places. The room was immaculately clean, and very nice. Comfortable beds, roomy bathroom. They have a lovely bar downstairs, a restaurant and limited car parking in the basement which is quite tight so take care if you have a big 4WD. Reception has a table set up with sunscreen and the reception are very helpful with suggestions on places to go and they have maps of the area.

Review:   Stayed at the Hotel 21-1-18. One night only was enough. The room was dated & tatty. Did not sleep due to heavy traffic outside and passing trams not the best of rooms. The receptionist was a German guy who when asked about getting a drink, bar closed, did not know where to go outside the hotel only the Casino, not after a 22 hour flight. Guest information in the room was under review and only a tatty A4 sheet with limited info. There are better hotels for the money. This one is overpriced, not good value.
