About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Fantastic accommodation in Jabiru. The rooms are very spacious, very nice and really no insects. The refreshment in the hotel pool is essential, because in the Norther Territory it's very hot. There is also an aboriginal art gallery and a good restaurant in the hotel. Actually, the hotel is one of few places in the Jabiru village where you can get a nice dinner and some drinks. If you want to save, select your dinner from the pub menu card and don't go for the buffet style dinner. The pub meals are very good anyway. Staff is very friendly.

Review:   My wife and I stayed at the Mercure Kakadu for three nights and it was fantastic. The staff was amazing; they helped to organize my trip to the Yellow river as well as my flight over the Jim Jim falls. The breakfast was superb with a big selection, and dinner had a great variety of local dishes. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, and you were able to relax after a long day exploring the area. I would love to return to this part of the world again and would not hesitate in staying at the Mercure.

Review:   We arrived and the room was run down drab, dirty old walls bathroom and a disappointment. The air con and tv stopped working in the first hour. They said the electrician turned the power off and didn't tell them, that's dangerous. The cleaning was lazy as we needed clean towels didn't get so I helped myself and left the dirty ones sitting on her trolley. Seen a table with empty bottles on it outside our room on a table for 24 hrs sit their. Car parked next to us had its fuel siphoned. What ruined it was the 2 am false alarm saying very loudly evacuate evacuate waking you up only to go out side over the street to get eaten alive by mozies. Returned then after 5 minutes to our room and took a further two hours and lots of peppermint oil to soothe the bites to get back to a useless sleep. I can say the restaurant good food and staff very sympathetic to most of them. But the owners should be flogged for letting it go down hill and we didn't even get offered a discount breakfast anything just the I'm so sorry for the inconvenience from the staff. PS the alarms going off is a common thing we found out so if you want to sleep through the night then don't go there. I paid $206 per night on special from $306 should be $125 maximum for a 3 Star Max rating for this hotel. I do give the restaurant a 4 star rating.

Review:   Nice place and staff. Restaurant needs remodeling it's like a school assembly hall. The bathrooms in our room were well in need of an upgrade.
