Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   I only stayed a single night but I enjoyed my stay. The service was good, the location was great, the buffet breakfast was one of the best I have had. The amenities of the room were a little lacking and needed improvement. The view from the room was very good and the best I have had anywhere.

Review:   The rooms have an old style feel to them (it could be large timber cabinet with the folks in doors that houses the TV and mini bar, or the green desk lamp, out the old school chair in the corner of the room... But the truth is that it's everything!). But that's not a bad thing. The room was spacious and had a decent size bathroom with full sized bathtub. The corner suite had amazing views of the river, bridge and Brisbane skyline.v

Review:   Had a beautiful, relaxing visit here. The buffet breakfast is beautiful. Fantastic pool. Rooms are getting old/ dated but the old style charm helps you to overlook this. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend this highly. Thanks for a great stay.

Review:   Fresh food but average. The Stamford is supposedly a plush hotel so you expect something different and better than just fresh food cooked the way you or your mum can. Service. Below average. There is no bar in the buffet area so you are at the mercy of your waiters speed. When your table is getting plates stacked up and empty glasses you start looking for the waiter. And our 20 person table are not big drinkers. Didn't have any music. Not even Xmas Carols. Once we finished eating we ventured to the bar and as much as the decor is great, no ambience...no music. They had a TV on....no sound. And someone told me Paul McCartney stayed here last week.

Review:   5 star service for 10 years+ as a customer. From dining to various rooms, not once have the team here or facilities ever disappointed us. We've slept, we've had high teas, we've had Christmas functions including on the day events, we've had casual nights out. Always a pleasure, nothing ever has gone bad. Wonderful views from all rooms, great location, very clean, maintained, well designed, comfortable. How quiet it is here is my favourite. 19th floor last night was our best room yet, pics are from there. Thank you to all the staff for making another stay memorable, everyone contributed and it's a pay-off for me the guest! Rob at the omelette station gets a special mention, what commitment to the workplace!
