About Matamanoa - Matamanoa Island Resort. Copyright Matamanoa Island Resort.

Matamanoa Island is a small, intimate and secluded Fiji resort set in the beautiful Mamanuca Islands approximately 30 kilometers west of Nadi International Airport.

The Island boasts a volcanic cone jutting out of the turquoise blue waters of this unspoilt area of the Fiji Islands. Clad with dense bush and palm trees, the brilliance of the vegetation contrasts magnificently with the white curved sandy beach and pristine coral reefs.

Created for those who want to forget the pressures of their business or busy lifestyle or for those who dream of peace and tranquility.

Matamanoa Island Resort

Video #1 of 1

Matamanoa Island is a small, private, intimate boutique resort located
in the magnificent Mamanuca Islands, situated approximately 30 kilometres west of Nadi International Airport.

Created for just 33 couples from all around the world, who dream of peace and tranquillity, Matamanoa Island has adopted a year round policy of not permitting children under the age of 16 years. Accommodation is a choice of either a Fijian thatched beachfront bure, or resort room, both air-conditioned.

The reefs surrounding Matamanoa are a marine sanctuary; therefore snorkeling from the beach, or in the complimentary glass bottom boat is a sight to be seen. There are numerous complimentary activities including hand line fishing, basket weaving, Fijian cooking lessons, just to name a few; off shore excursions, scuba diving with the PADI
5 star operation, visiting the local Fijian village all attract a fee.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Such a paradise. Amazing food. So fresh. Staff was like friends. They remember your names and greeted with such a smile and warmth. The island was amazing, clean, well spaced out, sometimes you feel like you have the whole place to yourself. We had sunset Bure. Amazing. We loved it here.

Review:   We have been coming here for 20 years and love it and it just keeps getting better with the improvements they are making. When you think of tropical island Paradise Matamanoa is it! Amazing Snorkeling, picture perfect beaches and Crystal clear water. We have often tried other tropical holiday locations but always keep coming back to Matamanoa. We are vegan and the introduction of the vegetarian menu is great! The staff are so friendly and helpful. It's hard to beat for a relaxed tropical island holiday. You can do lots of activities, or nothing! I highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a peaceful holiday with no noisey kids!

Review:   A perfect place to relax. We were told to bring drinking water but the water is drinkable on the island. Best tip is to bring snacks and booze from duty free as you can easily rack up a nice bill.
