About Matamanoa - Matamanoa Island Resort. Copyright Matamanoa Island Resort.

Matamanoa Island is a small, intimate and secluded Fiji resort set in the beautiful Mamanuca Islands approximately 30 kilometers west of Nadi International Airport.

The Island boasts a volcanic cone jutting out of the turquoise blue waters of this unspoilt area of the Fiji Islands. Clad with dense bush and palm trees, the brilliance of the vegetation contrasts magnificently with the white curved sandy beach and pristine coral reefs.

Created for those who want to forget the pressures of their business or busy lifestyle or for those who dream of peace and tranquility.

Overview

Matamanoa Island is a small, private, intimate boutique resort located
in the magnificent Mamanuca Islands, situated approximately 30 kilometres west of Nadi International Airport.

Created for just 33 couples from all around the world, who dream of peace and tranquillity, Matamanoa Island has adopted a year round policy of not permitting children under the age of 16 years. Accommodation is a choice of either a Fijian thatched beachfront bure, or resort room, both air-conditioned.

The reefs surrounding Matamanoa are a marine sanctuary; therefore snorkeling from the beach, or in the complimentary glass bottom boat is a sight to be seen. There are numerous complimentary activities including hand line fishing, basket weaving, Fijian cooking lessons, just to name a few; off shore excursions, scuba diving with the PADI
5 star operation, visiting the local Fijian village all attract a fee.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   We have just come back from our amazing Fiji getaway and spent 3nights at Matamonoa. It was a perfect relaxation resort! You can do as much or as little as you like. All of the staff were fun and friendly and made us feel so welcome. Our room was perfect, only wished we upgraded to the Villa! The Day Spa was beautiful!! Food was amazing. And snorkelling around the reef was absolutely fantastic. Thankyou to all of the staff for making our stay truly memorable!

Review:   A great luxury getaway! We got the helicopter in and strongly recommend this option! It's so quick, in 30 minutes of arrival you are on the beach! The beachfront bures are amazing, right on the beach with their own plunge pool and daybed. I'd suggest choosing one farthest from the central amenities. Snorkelling was great right off the beach with plenty of sea life to observe. Meals were the only downside but there is something there for everyone and we didn't go for the food, we went for peace and quiet and an island escape which this place definitely delivers on. Staff were friendly, and a walk along the small island is a nice way to spend an afternoon.

Review:   A really great resort to relax and enjoy the sun. The island is not very large in total, so it's not for anyone looking for a lot of entertainment and variety. For honeymooners or someone of rest and relaxation, however, looks the better. Especially since this is also a resort where children are not allowed. The staff are very friendly and it creates almost a family atmosphere. Cleanliness and facilities of the room was impeccable. Also, the food is delicious. We will definitely come back again!

Review:   Great place. Only reason I give four stars instead of five is because they read out my nationality as Australian instead of new Zealand in front of everyone which I clearly wrote on my form! Lol! Cmon geography! Nz is not Australia haha
