A uniquely historical Australian quarter, The Rocks is a place to explore Cadman's Cottage, eat in restaurants located in some of the oldest surviving buildings in Sydney, or browse boutique shops and galleries in the place where Australia's European settlement began. It's a village which echoes a long and colourful past and can be enjoyed by everyone in an equally colourful present.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   A relatively secret hotel in the heart of the Rocks. So handy to all the activities, restaurants and cafes in the area. Despite all the nearby activity the accommodation was quiet even though we were upgraded to a balcony one bedroom apartment. Every room has a bath. No dining facilities at the Rendezvous but coffee espresso machines in rooms and hotel foyer. Free and premium wifi available.

Review:   Reception experience was incredible! Ended up getting the top (6th) floor studio room with king bed and harbour view! The balcony could use a retouch as the roles were quite loose, but the overall experience was amazing! As a Sydney local looking to get away from home in the city, would definitely stay again.

Review:   The location of the Hotel is fantastic, right in the centre other nicest area other Rocks and also on a quiet back street parallel to Elizabeth Street (the main street). The staff here are fantastic and the only real let down (based only on my room) was the room itself. If all the rooms are the same, I would say the hotel rooms are crying out for refurbishment. Carpets, fixtures and fittings are very dated and worn. If they improve on this, it could be a stunning hotel in a great location. Unfortunately I didn't get to eat here due to an early morning flight, but the restaurant area did look pretty nice when peeking in. There is also a gym and (I think) a pool. 5 out of 5 for location and Staff, unfortunately the rooms need a refresh.

Review:   Purposely always seek a 'King Room' to acquire a 'King Bed'. Did so with this hotel and paid for such. They provided a soft queen bed instead. Unhappy and uncomfortable
