Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   We loved it here! Absolutely fantastic location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was good. A bit outdated, but clean and comfortable. Worth the upgrade for the balcony room, amazing views of bridge, opera house.

Review:   The location of the hotel is amazing! Close to Circular Quay and in the oldest neighborhood. There are stores, restaurants and bars close so it's really convenient. The staff was very friendly and professional. The common areas of the property are nice - especially the pool and hot tub area. The room was a little outdated and could use a freshening up. It was large and comfortable but just seemed worn out. We looked out onto a street/alley in the back. I know some of the rooms have a view of the harbor. It may not be possible but I think it would be a great addition if there was a rooftop lounge where guests could relax and take in the view. I don't think we'd stay here again if we were in Sydney. The location was great but for the money we paid I expected a little more from the room itself.

Review:   The Staff and receptionists were excellent couldn’t fault them. Our family booked this Hotel off the internet for my husbands 70th birthday present. We were expecting a room not a studio but hey ho. It needed more than a lick of paint.

Review:   Hotel needs to renovated as the rooms are old. Upgrade to a room with a view was excessively expensive for what you got. Won't be going back. Positive note, staff very friendly.

Review:   A great little hotel hidden away in The Rocks. A five minute walk to Circular Quay so handy for restaurants, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. We've stayed here a few times for two or three days when arriving in Sydney. The staff are friendly and helpful, our room was made available as soon as possible as we arrived at 9am after an overnight flight. Our room was large, with kitchen facilities so self catering is an option as long as you don't set the smoke detector off with the toaster. Sadly, the great value breakfast lounge is no longer. You have to walk down the street a few metres to get food in the morning, but in The Rocks, you are spoilt for choice. Definitely worth a stay.
