The Rocks, in the heart of Australia's most cosmopolitan city, encompasses the past, present and future.

A uniquely historical Australian quarter, The Rocks is a place to explore Cadman's Cottage, eat in restaurants located in some of the oldest surviving buildings in Sydney, or browse boutique shops and galleries in the place where Australia's European settlement began. It's a village which echoes a long and colourful past and can be enjoyed by everyone in an equally colourful present.

Join those in the know and experience the unique qualities of this charming and intimate hotel, the Rendezvous Stafford Hotel Sydney, tucked away in the heart of Sydney's historic area "The Rocks."

Just moments from Circular Quay, the Opera House and Sydney Harbour, it is also a short walk to the central business and shopping precinct plus many dining and entertainment venues.

You can choose from a collection of spacious studios, one bedroom apartments and historic terrace houses, some with views over breathtaking Sydney Harbour. Take advantage of the outdoor heated pool, spa, sauna and gym.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Lovely hotel in a great location. I was upgraded to one of the original terrace rooms. It had a nice pool. Staff were friendly and professional. Car parking was underneath. Would stay there again.

Review:   Where do we start? On arrival, parking is next door on wilsons car park charging $30 p/day. We get into our room finding it cramped, dated and directly above the small pool area. We spoke to reception to see if there was an alternate room available and was told they were fully booked, within minutes we were told differently by another reception member and moved one floor up to a slightly better room. Over the course of our 2 day stay, we discover that many facilities promised were unavailable, including in-house movies, and the sauna. Moreover, tightly enclosed shower spaces and limited supplies of towels and lack of restaurant and bar facilities just added to the inadequacy of this hotel experience. The promise of a heated pool and spa were luke warm at best. Lastly, you may think location overwhelms these issues but the hotel is within a 10 minute walking distance of everything notable. If not for one friendly staff member, Ethan, this review would have gotten 1 star. Please don't waste your time with this hotel. There are a myriad of better options available in the area. We won't be returning.

Review:   Great historical location and in walking distance of everything in the quay, including the Opera House. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Review:   Really good location, however, the hotel itself is very dated. The rooms and general decor and feel of the hotel needs a renovation. A good place to stay if you are not going to spend much time in the hotel at all and are looking to be close to the city.
