Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Beautiful scenery which add to the relaxing vibe. There is so much to do; a lovely walking track, tennis, swimming, horse riding, wine school and tasting... I could go on! It's so close to so many wineries and the Hunter Valley Gardens. The Matilda Brewhouse on the resort was spectacular! The best eggs Benedict I have ever eaten! Every meal was a treat. Would 100% recommend.

Review:   Lovely location within the Hunter Valley area. Overnight accommodation was simple but clean and tidy with fridge, kettle and minimal cutlery ideal for a short stay. Food was fantastic and so too was the choice of craft beers. The wine tasting experience was wonderful and very informative. Staff on site were friendly and keen to help.

Review:   Lovely place, quiet and peaceful. The restaurant served fantastic food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The vineyard tour and information activity was great, as was the wine tasting experience. The room was good, clean, and air conditioned, with a comfortable bed and a TV. There is a walking track, a tennis court and pool as well as many other "adventure activities" they offer, including horse riding and segway tours. It is close to many other vineyards, hunter valley gardens, Binorie cheese factory, and Pokolbin village. Overall a fantastic place, definitely recommended.

Review:   I thought the Hunter resort was a very nice place to stay we had a wedding to attend at another place in the hunter so did not get to enjoy as much of this place as would have liked. The cottage that we stayed in was nice it was private and quiet with a great country view . Bed was amazing and the spa was great for relaxation after the wedding.Enjoyed a lovely breakfast with very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to my friends.

Review:   Onsite wine education is available to those who stay as an overnight guest. It is both detailed and accessible to those who know nothing about drinking or making wine. Rooms were exactly as seen in advertising photos. The position in the hunter wine region is very central: close to many cellar doors.
