Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   How do the photos make it look so good? 4 star? Rooms are dirty need a good clean. Looks like they've been lived in not stayed in for days or even weeks at a time. Energy saving bluish white lights adorn the entire apartment which gives a 7-11 feel when you get there after a big night out. Plus the walk through the carpark to get to Darling Harbour was an unexpected bonus! If it was cheaper it'd be acceptable but unfortunately it's not.

Review:   Cannot recommend this accommodation at all. Rooms in need of refurbishing (chipped paint, scuff marks on walls, stains on carpet and generally unclean looking). Air conditioning did not work, toilet had to be flushed twice to be effective and no double glazing on windows even though room looked right on to the freeway. A positive was the helpfulness of the young lady on reception who did her best to help. We were booked in for five nights but left after one and paid a $250 penalty for doing so. We are now staying at other accommodation - beautifully presented - and at the same price per night.

Review:   Pretty disappointed with this place. I mean it's a decent price for the city but if you go a few dollars more or a bit of searching will get you something much nicer. Don't stay on level 2 unless skip bins are your thing...

Review:   Very handy location for Darling Harbour, with multi-storey parking behind. Kitchenette is useful if you want to cook. Nothing amazing, but adequately comfortable & clean for the budget-conscious traveller. There was also a sofa bed in our living room. Hardly any through traffic, so no traffic noise, but some noise from hallway area/other guests. I intended to use the indoor pool (remember your swimmers!), but we were too busy seeing the sights & ran out of time! Polite and efficient Reception staff. Fabulous coffee/breakfast on the go from the little shop next door.

Review:   My experience in this hotel was short and not so sweet. Of course with booking online, you tend to base a part of your booking off the photos of the complex. For example, the room. When I walked in to reception. It was absolutely amazing. I was blown away with how stunning it was. However, leaving the reception and going up to our room was a completely different story. The room we stayed in was NOTHING like we had seen online when booking. It was outdated and the kitchen cupboards were hanging off. But the one thing that turned me off more than anything, was the massive roof to floor glass window that faced directly out onto a dodgy back alley-way. Not only that, there was a door that led out onto this dodgy alley-way. Feeling safe is a major thing for me staying away from home, and this hotel just didn't tick the boxes.... Don't get me wrong, the customer service was lovely, and that's what my two stars are for, but the rooms just weren't up to par. DON'T book this hotel based on images you see online, as what you see is NOT what you get.
