About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Just returned from spending 7 days at the Fiji Hideaway on Sunday 6th May. The facilities are a little dated, but the excellent customer service makes up for it. Our rooms were serviced and cleaned every day. The staff were amazing and the food was great. The cultural group surprised my husband by singing Happy Birthday in Fijian which made dinner even more amazing. Our last day our flights were delayed considerably, they let us check back into our room again until our transfer picked us up. Then during breakfast, I was surprised by staff with a birthday cake. They really made our birthdays memorable for both my husband and I. Our kids loved the pool, kids club and snorkeling.

Review:   If you want an unpretentious, layed back holiday for the family and kids this is the place for you. If you want high-end facilities and good showers it's probably not. The staff are super friendly which more than made up for the average shower.

Review:   Definitely zero stars!! This place is soo run down, we checked in and everything was ok until we stepped into our room! Very old run down no maintenance has been done very for a long time. Our sink blocked up straight away, the smell was bad! They tried to fix it 3-4 times with no success. When have a 6 months old baby, so it was very hard to wash bottles and general things without it. Oh and if there was even water! First day, no cold water, second day not hot then no water at all third day!! They didnt even offer free water bottles to help us, considering we paid top dollar they were not accommodating at all. So this is what you get for the top room at over 3k Fijian dollars for 5 night!! The double tree Hilton is less!! Room servie fee, beers and pretty much everything was more than most 5star hotel. We left on the third day and checked into the Sheraton which was almost the same price! When we checked out there was no question on to why or how was our stay, im thinking its very normal for people to leave early. Please avoid and dont waste your money and do a little research and you will definitely find a better place. Hope this helps other people not making the same mistakes and ruin your Fiji trip.

Review:   Anu S 1 Pending review Bad customer service / racist behaviour Visited here after a few few years abroad. I am a local. was subjected to worse customer service by Fijian staff. Rude behaviour. Resort Manager was no where to be seen to raise this. Someone at the hotel also loosened wheel nuts on my car. An hour after leaving the resort two of the studs broke and we almost had an accident. unfortunately had to leave the country and short of time. Just warning everyone else to be careful. Not a very good exeprience. while checking out they were trying to bill us for extra people when clearly we booked two rooms among two adults and three kids. Terrible experience. Racist Fijian staff towards locals. Not organized at all. Resort Manager needs to be available to sort out guest issues.
