Insiders Tips
Palm Cove is the perfect destination to jump off to the two world heritage listed regions in Tropical North Queensland. Half way between the Great Barrier Reef departures and the Daintree Rainforest, from Palm Cove you can experience all that the region has to offer.

Dive, Snorkel, Fly – Great Barrier Reef
Great Barrier Reef tours and cruises offer a range of activities including snorkelling, introductory or certified scuba diving, and live aboard dive courses with multi lingual, professional tutorage. For those who prefer to stay dry, spacious pontoons, semi submersible and glass bottom vessels provide popular introductions to the Great Barrier Reef, and helmet dives and motorised underwater scooters allow you to reach the ocean floor without getting your hair wet! Or why not try a helicopter ride over the reef for a whole different perspective. They make fantastic holiday photos, too.

Rainforest
Be enchanted by the beauty, life and tranquillity of the world's oldest surviving tropical rainforests – as old as the dinosaurs. Over 97 per cent of land in the tropical north is protected including areas in the Daintree rainforests to the north, the tropical Atherton Tablelands, Kuranda to the west and Mission Beach to the south.
The tropical Rainforests offer a variety of eco-tourism activities. The Kuranda Village which is set high in the hills surrounded by rainforest featuring the world famous Skyrail Rainforest Cableway which glides over the rainforest canopy is only a short distance from the resort

Thanks to boardwalk access, you can guide yourself or join a tour through much of the Rainforest found in the region or take an escorted tour in this living museums rich with thousands of flora, fauna, species of marsupials, reptiles, birds and butterflies that have survived natural disasters and climate change for over 135 million years.

Indigenous Culture
There are numerous chances for you to share our unique tropical culture during your stay. Enjoy the privilege of an experience with indigenous Aborigines and Torres Straight Islanders, and be uplifted by the spirit of one of the world's oldest surviving cultures.

Wildlife
Australia has some of the most unique wildlife in the world and you can encounter wildlife no matter where you are in Palm Cove, Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef region. From random encounters to interpretive self-guided rainforest boardwalks, guided coach and outback 4WD tours, guided night spotting excursions, and wetlands abundant with bird life - you might even be lucky enough to spot kangaroos hopping across paddocks as you drive from Cairns International Airport to Palm Cove on 25 mins away.

Palm Cove also boasts a wonderful Tropical Zoo dedicated to preserving endangered species and educating the public on the wonders of the animal kingdom. You can even venture into their world at night!

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Spacious apartments, serviced and cleaned thoroughly every day. Staff super helpful and nothing ever too much trouble. Plenty of space around pools and beach to relax on lounges. Pools spotless. Will definitely be a regular holiday destination for me. Absolutely nothing to complain about

Review:   Pros: - Beautiful location, gardens, right on the beach. - Room was very spacious and clean. - Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Cons: - Be prepared for lots of screaming children. Not a big deal, but can be frustrating when wanting to use the pool. - Slight issues with the wifi signal in the bedroom. Overall very positive experience.

Review:   Attended a wedding held at the Alamanda Chapel and visited one of the hotel rooms for refreshments. The chapel was beautiful with a great view of the Palm Cove beach. The hotel room had two levels and was incredibly spacious but strangely had two bathrooms on the top floor I stead of one on each floor.

Review:   Some parts of this were fanatic and amazing, others were sadly very lacking. We got a few upgrade from a queen deluxe to a three room suite, presumably because a wedding was going on and they wanted to keep us away from the main block of rooms those guests were using and from the restaurant that was where the reception was held. Said reception caused them to rebook our lunch reservations, but at a time that would have been difficult for us to have made on time. The reasoning and statements in the email indicated that it shouldn't be a problem, that the desire to change the reservation was for our comfort and ease. The hosts at interacted with when we arrived early for our original reservation but late for the time they wanted to rebook us however have an entirely different reason. The restaurant, closed, no apologies that the email was apparently entirely filled with lies and excuses, no offer to work something out (such as lunch delivered to our room though apparently the kitchen was still doing room service we would later discover), just a canceled reservation and a very brusk attitude. Breakfast the next morning was overcooked twice. Dinner that next night was delicious though it was served at the table in the open air with no windbreak and our menus kept getting to blow away. The food though was quite delicious. In short, the hotel staff and accommodations were great but the restaurant front of house staff and communication should be treated with skepticism or distrust.
