Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   It was a fair choice for a short business trip. On the positive side, the price was reasonable for a central location close to business, shopping center and some nice bars and restaurants along Lt. Bourke. However, the hotel is squeezed between/behind the shopping center. The room was medium sized and clean, the bathroom appeared modern and nice. On the not-so-positive side, the mattress was super soft and needs replacement IMHO, if you had a closer look into the room it may need a renovation in the not-too-distant future, too. The breakfast was ok, but when on the last day one of the elevator went out-of-order, the chaos was big as there were no stairs as alternative (other as the fire-exit ones which could not be utilized to go back to the rooms...)

Review:   Always a pleasure. We try to stay here every time we go to Melbourne. Can't always stay because it can be expensive at times. Best shower I've ever had in a hotel. Great water pressure and able to turn the shower head away while you get the right temperature. Beds aren't the softest but are certainly okay. Staff are always friendly and come out to greet us.

Review:   We booked a hotel last minute. The staff were friendly and the price was fair. The location is fantastic! Centre Place, Hardware Lane, Melbourne Centre shopping and China Town are walking distance from the hotel. Room was slightly dated but clean and tidy. The bathroom felt recently renovated which lifted the space. Good black out blinds. Spacious room. Speedy desk service. Great stay!

Review:   Nice hotel, pretty close to city center. Staff people are nice, smiling and helpful. Wall painting in the room was a little outdated and the door is not sound insulated. There's shampoo, conditioner and soap bars (but no shower gel) in the bathroom. All in all it's a good hotel that's not too expensive and ideally located.

Review:   We had met helpful and responsive staffs in assisting our doubt. The room was relatively clean and good housekeeping with its staff doing a great job. Our mess was cleared with their great works. It is located in good area. We felt the hotel catering for breakfast food should be improved especially it is receiving International Guests. Can you imagine eating the same first meal for the past days. We observed there was ONLY 1 disk that it had changed. Mushrooms, fried rice & then fried noodle, and it start all over again. Terrible :-( Anyway we like to thank you, ALL for providing this great hospitality in our 1st trip to Melbourne. Thank you
