Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Nice hotel. Modern and clean. In the heart of Melbourne. Easy to walk everywhere. Only reason 4 stars instead of 5 is their restaurant. Coffee was horrible and breakfast buffet was fair at best and a bit pricey. Don't eat at the hotel. There are so many good restaurants very close by.

Review:   We stayed here last weekend. The reception staff were terrific. Our room was a studio that was spacious, clean, and light. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has many amenities, and we look forward to trying some of these out next time.

Review:   Very good rooms and surprisingly comfortable beds and pillows! Even better then 5-star hotels in terms of comfort. Room service for cleaning up the room was good. Would have given 4.5 stars if option was available. 0.5 stars less for me as the front entrance of the hotel has steps which was not stroller/pram friendly. It did however have a handicap lift. Had to get my child out of the pram and carry both child and pram, up and down the steps. Also, breakfast buffet was the same everyday (we stayed for 3 days). Otherwise very good location and near to various tram stops which are free as long as you travel within the free tram zone. Many eating options nearby e.g. vapiano. Within walking distance to SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium and supermarkets. If you’re thinking of renting a car, it’s about 2-3 tram stops away from the car rental shops.

Review:   Clean, modern hotel with large rooms. Small kitchen is useful if you want to prepare a bit of food. Great location near the downtown trams and other amenities. Main negatives... Bathroom is incredibly awkward with a bad layout, shower that doesn't keep water in and an absolutely worthless sink and that's too small to even wash your hands. Downstairs is a food court with some good choices, but the breakfast restaurant is a mediocre buffet for $20.
