Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Great hotel! We were offered an discounted upgrade when we arrived, as we weren’t quite sure if we wanted it the clerk showed us the different rooms and we quickly agreed on the upgrade. Our new room was perfect with a great view. Additionally there were no problems during our entire stay, and everything from the pool to the breakfast was great

Review:   Hotel is adequate, though it seems a bit old. Rooms are adequate and fine, however they are nothing spectacular.theyhave plenty of space, beds are comfortable, linen is nice. Bathrooms have been redone relatively recently. Hotel pool is nice to have, but didn't seem too clean unfortunately. Nice to have a pool, but would be good to make the area a bit more attractive.

Review:   I stayed at this hotel in central melbourne and was shocked it is billed as 4 star. The reception refused to carry my 4 suitcases although i arrived tired n worn out after an 8 hr flight. The hotel has steps to the lobby with no lift. I had to wheel my own luggage the trolley to the top of the stairs and lug up my heavy suitcases. It was not criwded with 2 staff at the desk who ignored my obvious distress. And to top it all. An old chinese lady about 80 yrs old took pity on me and helped me instead of the staff. There is no concierge service. There is no free parking. There is noisy construction across the street and there self service bar is inadequate. 1 star is too much for this one!!
