Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Great location in the heart of the Docklands. The room was very clean and modern; but there is improvement required for the overall experience. A lack of staff seems to be the cause of adverse experiences including check-in and dining. The dining room for breakfast did not have clear tables, no milk in coffee machine, and no plates for the buffet. With only two staff servicing the dining room, it was an impossible task for the attendees who were doing their best. Some small improvements would see the motel lift in the overall customer experience.

Review:   Very comfortable hotel. I stayed here for two days when I had a meeting in Melbourne in 2016. The room was spacious, comfortable and it was fully equipped. The staffs were friendly and helpful. In fact, on my last day, I had to check out very early. They allowed me to have early breakfast before the checkout.

Review:   It's a decent travelodge, with very good location to the convention center. Any closer you'll be paying triple. Basic amenities. The best part is the staff and service. The reservation expert Jasmine went above and beyond in sorting out my double booking predicament. She didn't need to, but was very helpful anyway and convinced the third party site I booked with to do a refund. Will definitely stay here again for all future convention trips. The docklands is quiet at night and weekends which is great for sleep. Plenty of restaurants and cafes and walking distance to Southern Cross Station with its restaurants and supermarket.

Review:   My friend and I stayed here and were very happy with our choice! Great staff, great location, great room. The beds were very comfortable and the food was fantastic! Parking was very convenient. We booked for a twin, but were given a King - as soon as we explained this to reception they swapped us immediately and apologised for the error. We needed some last minute printing as well which we were originally told it wasn't normally something they would do, but when we got down there the receptionist was more than helpful. Will definitely be staying here again!

Review:   Fine if you don't mind the heat, I suppose. Rather than proper air conditioning, it just appears to have some sort of fan system. No matter how low, it doesn't get rid of heat. This, on a room several stories up with no windows that can be opened doesn't make for a good mix. Bad enough in winter, certainly wouldn't stay there in summer. Otherwise, decent price, check out time and proximity to Southern Cross Station.
