Overview

Stay at the riverside Crowne Plaza Melbourne hotel for business and leisure on the banks of the Yarra.

Crowne Plaza Melbourne is in the heart of the city's vibrant docklands. Our bright Lobby is alive with conversation and as you step to our Front Desk you'll know you're in good company. We'll take your bags if you want to sit back with a local microbrew in the Lobby Bar.

You're surrounded by restaurants on the Yarra's north bank, just over the bridge from the Crown Casino and Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Crowne Plaza Melbourne is a 5-minute walk from Southern Cross rail station and a 2-minute stroll to the tramways for swift travel across the city. Taxis or our car service take 30 minutes from Melbourne Airport, while valets make parking easy.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Had a nice stay while down in Melbourne for a conference. The look of the building is aging, however it's still quite nice inside and has some great views. Staff were helpful and polite. It's very close to the convention centre, the station and plenty of shops, bars and the casino. Be aware renovations are currently being done which on one day started quite early (about 7:30am).

Review:   Location was perfect for us as we wanted to spend the night at the casino. Valet parking. Rooms were pleasant and had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. The hotel decor was a little dated. The front desk staff member who checked us in was a bit of a toffy knob but all other staff were great. Overall our stay was nice.

Review:   Front desk service is average at best. The rooms are feeling tired. Parking is about $ 45 per night valet. Suggest parking around the corner for about half of that nightly rate. Elevators are fast. Bar service is excellent and friendly. Use to be such a great hotel but has deteriorated a little over the past couple of years.

Review:   Really nice hotel. Breakfast buffet is excellent. The rooms are very comfy - I even enjoyed a swim in the outdoor heated pool.

Review:   It was very nice and the views were great. Its I'm a great location too. They had a continental breakfast but it wasn't free and the full buffet option was a bit pricey. But other than that those are my only complaints. If you need an American style power outlet there is a universal one in the bathroom. Also there are usb ports on the back of the alarm clock so you can change your phone without an adapter
