Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Hotel offers many restaurants choices. All food and beverages have been incredible. Only reason for 4 stars is everything is excessively expensive, we received a room with 2 bed instead of 1 and rooms don't have heaters so after a downpour of rain it was hard to get warm. Highly recommended!

Review:   Excellent staff at the restaurant. Great location. Manager came over and gave great recommendations on wine and our waiter was very personable. The view was great as well, we got an excellent window seat. Food was very good but not 5* compared to other similar type high end hotels and only thing that kept from a 5* overall.

Review:   We ate at both the poolside restaurant and on the terrace. Both meals were excellent with pleasant surroundings and attentive staff. At one point we asked to be reseated and we were easily and cheerfully accommodated. The specialty drinks are creative and well-crafted and the bartenders are knowledgeable.

Review:   Yes, it's fairly grand in style. But the hospitality was unimpressive. White-collar staff was snobby to us, some wouldn't even bother with a greeting or simply ignored ours. The cleaning staff was great, however, friendly and made us feel welcome. In general, I found Kauai to be very friendly and more intimate than the bigger islands. But St. Regis didn't seem to give us the same feel. I think it's self-grandiose has made it forget where it is located, and WHY people go to Kauai. The bar on the beach was good, though, however. I would not be back to this resort, but would certainly return to Kauai.

Review:   Beautiful resort. The beach is where the magic is, the view is absolutely breathtaking. I spent the entire day at the water, and even in the rain it was Paradise. At night the rooms are beyond comfortable, and ensure that you sleep as well as you spend the day. To top it off, the staff made things as smooth as can be. Wonderful experience, wonderful memories.
