Overview

Nestled on the best beach location on the sunny South Shore, the Sheraton Kauai Resort is just 30 minutes from the Lihue Airport. With 2 shopping centers close by, each with distinctively different shopping choices, more than 20 restaurants, two golf courses, ocean activities abound that range from building sand castles to surfing and paddle-boarding, snorkeling and scuba. Of course, boating excursions and sight-seeing are easily accessed from our perfect location in Poipu.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Our trip to Kauai was to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary and the Sheraton Kauai absolutely exceeded our expectations. We are already making plans to return again, ASAP! From the minute you step onto the property, they are there to answer any question and satisfy every request. The entire property is breath taking and the level of dedication to their guest is second to none. The staff were super and the room was excellent. They have a couple of restaurants on the resort (Rum Fire and Lava's) and both are a fine dining experience with a view to match! The food is excellent and the service is top notch. The rooms are very nicely appointed and the island will leave you breathless. Recommended for visitors of all ages. You will not be disappointed by the island or the resort!!

Review:   Beautiful hotel. We have an amazing view from the fourth floor ocean front room. The restaurants are pricy but we've gotten food and alcohol from the grocery store to save a bit of money. The pool area is amazing with great service.

Review:   We visited during the peak summer season and will never return, nor recommend. We were booked in one of the Garden View rooms. The hotel are expanding and building 2 new wings which are being built directly in front of where our balcony overlooked. Construction starts from 7am and the day is filled with noise. Our view was of concrete, excavators and tradesmen. We spent most of our days out and about however when we did return to the room or when waking up in the morning it felt far from relaxing. I understand that hotels need to be updated or expanded, however absolutely no mention of this was made when booking and rates were as normal. We were going to complain and request a discounted room fee, however other guests were doing the same to no avail, so we decided to save ourselves the confrontation. We also ate at Lavas restaurant a couple of times, service was average at best and the food was disappointing. I heard that Rum Fire, while more expensive, is quite good.

Review:   We can't wait to go back to Kauai, so we can stay here. It is in a perfect location. The property is in really nice conditions. The amenities seem unreal. The pool area was really nice. There were a couple different bars/restaurants right on the beach. The luau was AMAZING. This is a truly special place. Can't wait to stay here!

Review:   We had a great time here. Right on the beach. Nice pool and kid friendly. Wish they included breakfast... As they are a bit expensive for a hotel but then again it's what youd expect from Kauai. Service is a bit slow when checking in and put but they are very friendly and thorough. Would definitely go back again.
