Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Lovely hotel. Staff are courteous and friendly. Our room was smaller than I expected for the price but nice decor and clean. (We didn’t spend much time in the room anyhow) concierges were very professional and helpful. We were able to book all the tours we wanted. The reception was very responsive and I liked that I was able to text questions and they would receive answers promptly. Over all I had a great experience there and will stay again.

Review:   Our first time in Hawaii we stayed in the perfect place for the perfect first visit! Staff was friendly, food was delicious, beach was beautiful, rooms were cool and comfy. Absolutely no complaints. So close to all the great restaurants and shopping is a short walk away! The grounds were landscaped flawlessly and small details like fruit water at check-in/out did not go unnoticed. We had a beautiful time at this beautiful place.

Review:   The Royal Hawaiian is a gem, a historic and luxurious property in the heart of Waikiki. An upgrade to the Mailani Tower got our trip going on the right foot, and the rest of the experience did not disappoint. From the service, to the food, the views, and the immediate proximity to the beach, this place is worth every penny. Bottom line: stay here and you’ll be treated to some of the best of what Hawaii and Waikiki has to offer. If you’re looking for a tranquil and relaxing scene, you’ll likely choose somewhere else other than Waikiki. But if you want to experience Waikiki, the Royal Hawaiian will be an experience you aren’t soon to forget.

Review:   The Royal Hawaiian was a good hotel. Staff members were friendly, we we're offered a room upgrade and free pastries from their bakery. We we're also offered a free photo shoot that we did not use. My only complaint is the valet. You do not have an option to self park and we spent a fair amount of time in traffic waiting to get up to the valet (also there was the added complication of having the drive through the Sheraton traffic) or in the lobby waiting for our car to be brought out. Also, the Google amenities say that parking is free, which is definitely not true. It was about $40 a day.
