Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Welcome to the Golden Age of hospitality! If you can afford the higher price tag, a stay at the Royal Hawaiian is a worth it indulgence! The buildings and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is cheerful and friendly. In my experience, every associate throughout the hotel greeted me with “aloha” and/or “sir” and a smile. Waikiki Beach is a crowded and developed but the RH offers a little getaway with still fabulosity beach access and views of Diamond Head. Go Pink!

Review:   Fantastic historic hotel in the middle of Waikiki. The rooms face the ocean and are spacious with a balcony which has a seating area to enjoy the view. At night it can be a bit noisy as the beach bars can be heard but once they go quiet one can only hear the ocean. The bathroom is big and they provide all amenities. Upon arrival I had a bottle of sparkling Rose with my name on it in my room. A nice touch and goes with the pink theme. The hot grounds are have shops a bar pools and they have their own bakery. The staff is super friendly. The entrance to the hotel is past the Sheraton with which the Royal Hawaiian shares the grounds.

Review:   What a beautiful property filled with beautiful people! From our experience at the bell desk, to check-in, to our sumptuous breakfast at the Surf Lanai to our indulgent poolside cabana...it was great! We stayed in the historic wing and the rooms here are very chic and elegant. There was no lanai, however as you can see from our photo, the windows offered a spectacular view of Waikiki Beach. We were so happy. Would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel, it is truly like stepping back into history.

Review:   Everything about this place was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and quick to respond to all of our needs. There were bottles of water in the room when we arrived, and more brought during the turn down service. They left chocolate at turn down, and even removed the trash at the time. Used towels were removed, and while there were plenty more towels, they didn't replace the super plush ones. I'm sure if we called for more of the nice ones, they would have arrived quickly. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. Very expensive, but the service and quality were well matched to the price. The hotel isn't on the street at all, so you may never notice it while walking along the road. There was a lovely pool and what appeared to be a private area on the beach, buyout it was just a roped of area close to the hotel. Though fairly crowded (late June), we had an easy time finding a nice spot near the water.

Review:   Excellent experience at the Royal Hawaiian-- the location is wonderful with perfect views of diamond Head and best beach access. The rooms are good, and the food (especially breakfast) is great. I'm a platinum member, and the staff went above and beyond to make us welcome and even upgrade to a room at an busy time. Recommend if location and staff is a priority to you.
