Le Taha'a Island Resort & Spa is a 5-star property, located on a 'motu' islet, a 35-minute navigation from the Raiatea Airport and a 5-minute boat ride from the village of Tapuamu on the main island of Taha'a. The ultimate way to connect between Taha'a and Bora is definitely by helicopter ! Beyond being an easy and quick transfer, this 14-minute flight will be an excursion of pure beauty as you fly above the stunningly gorgeous Tahitian lagoons.

Designed to be one of the most luxurious hotels in French Polynesia; it is the only one of its kind in the archipelago. Superbly located on the coral reef of Motu Tautau and facing the island of Taha'a on the lagoon side, it offers an unsurpassed view of the island of Bora Bora.

Taha'a, with the rich aroma of vanilla lingering heavily in the air, offers a glimpse of the traditional, tranquil life of the Tahitians. The flower-shaped island's simple beauty is charmed by soft mountain shapes and surrounded by tiny motu with bright sand beaches. In the fertile valleys cutting within the island, local farmers grow watermelon, vanilla, and copra.

Overview

In addition to a wide range of activities & excursions available in Raiatea & Taha'a, the resort has its own dive center. It also offers a wide variety of unique treatments in the onsite Manea Spa – ranked among the top 3 spas in the world according to the Robb Report Magazine.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Le Taha’a is situated on a beautiful islet, a five-minute-boat ride away from Taha’a island, famous for its lush vanilla plantations and its black pearl farms. Idyllic, intimate and wonderfully preserved, this retreat is in the heart of a natural setting of fascinating beauty, where an enchanting vanilla fragrance fills the air. The lagoon has crystal-clear waters and splendid colours and there is an exceptional coral garden. Please give this review a little thumbs up, if you like it?

Review:   Had a fantastic time; it's a short plane ride from Bora Bora and honestly, I enjoyed my stay here more than Bora. Our "on land" bungalow was incredible, much more spacious and homey than the over-water units. The coral garden is about a 1/2 km walk up the beach and it's amazing; worth the trip right there. Would have liked maybe one more dining option , but overall the food was the best we had while island hoping. My one request would be that they get a hot tub -- would be amazing because it's not super warm there in the winter season.
