Post-Cruise Tour - The Best Of Quebec City - Airport Drop OffExplore > Canada > Quebec > Post-Cruise Tour - The Best Of Quebec City - Airport Drop Off
OverviewCalling all history, architecture, and culture buffs to Québec City! Spend some time exploring Québec, often called the most European city in North America. Your tour begins at Place Royale, the city's most impressive square. A visit here is like a step back in time to the early days of New France. You'll walk along the pedestrian-only Petit-Champlain borough (the oldest shopping street in North America), lined with art galleries, craft shops, and designer boutiques. The tour continues into Upper Town, where you'll see La Place d'Armes (Army Square) and, most likely, street performers and musicians. Stop to take in La Terrasse Dufferin (a manor built in 1830) and Place l'Hotel de Ville with the impressive City Hall right in front of it. And, of course, we'll walk the Frontenac area of Quebec, situated high on a bluff overlooking the beautiful St. Lawerence River. Stroll the Dufferin Terrasse and see the famous and fabulous Château Frontenac. Next is a visit to Parliament Hill to view the magnificent Parliament Building, whose architecture was inspired by the Louvre Palace in Paris, followed by the Plains of Abraham (Battlefields Park), built between 1608 and 1871 to defend the city. Today, the Plains of Abraham is an oasis in the heart of the city and one of the largest and most prestigious urban parks in the world. At the end of this wonderful tour, you will be dropped off at the airport for your return flight home. - Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
