Shoretrips Value Shared Tour...All Around SnaefellsnesExplore > Iceland > Reykjavik > Shoretrips Value Shared Tour...All Around Snaefellsnes
OverviewA glacier, beach, waterfall, mountains and villages - experience Snaefellsnes's gorgeous diversity. Located on the western side of Iceland, the picturesque Snæfellsnes peninsula is a must-see destination. The environment is rich with diverse landscapes, including black sand beaches, rocky cliffs, waterfalls, mountains and villages. When traveling to Iceland it can be overwhelming to check every beautiful natural attraction off your list as the whole country is simply stunning. Of course there are worse problems to have, though we feel the Snæfellsnes Peninsula is the crème de la crème, and the 'favorite' experience of most travelers. During this journey you will visit Grundarfjordur and Arnarstapi, both charming fishing villages. The town of Grundarfjordur is situated next to the famous Kirkjufell mountain. With its spectacular cascading waterfall, this mountain is one of the main draws of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The small town of Arnarstapi is quaint yet picturesque, and not to be underestimated with it's stunning coasts and cliffs. After admiring this fissure vent system, stop and see Djúpalónssandur, an awe-inspiring black sand beach. The rock formations along the coast will make you feel as if you are on another planet. After exploring Djúpalónssandur, you will get to see another spectacular rock formation called Lónsdrangar, two rocks in the ocean. Then visit Ytri Tunga, a beach that is well-known for the seal colony that resides there. If you are lucky you will spot a few of these magnificent creatures! Throughout this tour, your guide will tell you interesting stories and share local knowledge of the Snæfellsnes region, giving you an extensive insight into the area. - Please note that we are not able to pick up from all hotels in Reykjavik. If you are staying at a hotel inside the bus free zone (city center area), then a central and nearby meeting location will be provided. If you have questions, contact ShoreTrips. - Food and beverages not included in the tour cost. - There is a maximum of 18 passengers per departure. - Book early in order to avoid the disappointment of sell-outs.
