This is truly the best of the Big Island!

There are two ways to visit the Big Island: either follow the well-trodden path taken by most tourists, or explore the wild beauty of Hawaii’s lesser-known sites. On this action-packed tour, you will experience the true magic of the Big Island, from its natural wonders to its rich culture.

Your day begins at the historic Greenwell Coffee Farm, a part of Hawaiian culture since 1850. You will receive a fully-immersive tour of the farm and the coffee mill and be served a delicious farm-to-fork breakfast featuring fresh fruit, island-inspired pastries, savory items, and, of course, a cup of their award-winning 100% Kona coffee.

The tour moves on to Kula Kai Caverns. Here, you’ll descend into the belly of the Big Island, and your expert interpretive guide will explain how Hawaii’s famous lava tubes were formed.

A short drive takes you to Punalu’u Black Sand Beach, where you’re likely to spot an endangered green sea turtle resting on these precious shores. From here, you’ll travel to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, the original source of Hawaii’s geologic magic. You’ll have a chance to explore an active volcano before sitting down for a picnic lunch of sandwiches, chips, a cookie, and juice drinks.

Your day concludes at the Hilo Tropical Farm, home to 1,000 acres of native tropical fruit cultivation. From a private viewing deck, you’ll also see the resplendent Rainbow Falls.

This full-day journey allows you to soak up the Big Island’s history, culture, and natural splendor. We promise it will change the way you see the island of Hawaii.
