Visit Rotorua - Three Places In One DayExplore > New Zealand > Tauranga > Visit Rotorua - Three Places In One DayOverviewSee the Geothermal Geysers. Ride on the Rotorua Skyline Gondola. See the world famous NZ Farm show. "Great things always come in threes" may or may not be a saying, but it certainly applies to this tour. Departing Tauranga, you will head over to Rotorua's only living Maori village--Whakarewarewa. Your guide will coach you on how to pronounce this. To get things started, you'll be treated to a Maori cultural performance filled with dancing and songs. Maori culture is a distinct aspect of New Zealand culture and your guide will provide unique insight into its history. You will be amazed by the nearby geothermal sites that are home to the two largest geysers in the southern hemisphere, along with boiling spring pools and bubbling hot mud. Please don't jump in to try and exfoliate your skin. It's amazing how this unique landscape has been home to Maori people for years, perfectly cultivating the land. After the first corner of the trifecta is complete, you will drive to the gates of Skyline Rotorua to board a gondola ride (included in tour cost) for some of the best views in the entire area. Fantastic 360 degree views set up frame-worthy photos of Rotorua city, Lake Rotorua, and the surrounding geothermal areas. Once at the top, you can either grab a bite to eat or enjoy afternoon tea at the Skyline restaurant or saddle up for a downhill Rotorua luge ride (luge rides are an additional cost, everything else is included). This part go-cart, part toboggan device provides for a unique journey on paved trails that vary in difficulty. Luging adventures have been taking place since 1985! Leaving the Skyline, you will head to the Agrodome, which is set on 350 acres of farmland. A sheep and dog show will be the highlight here as you are introduced to 19 breeds of sheep and witness a live shearing. The talent of farm dogs will be on full display as they battle for order among the sheep. Sheep farming and wool are such a large part of life in New Zealand, so this can't be missed. An additional stop will be made at Kiwifruit country tours for samples and a quick tour on how Kiwi is farmed throughout New Zealand. This might be considered a fourth stop, but it would really throw off the title of this trip. - Entrance fees are included in the price of this tour. - The gondola is included in the price of this tour. The luge ride is available at an additional cost. - A stop for lunch is built into the itinerary, but isn't included in the price of this tour. - This tour takes a maximum of 20 passengers.
