Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   I am giving this hotel a 5-star rating even though they might not be considered a 5-star hotel. They do however, have valet parking and handicapped parking, which is good because the one downside of this hotel is the lack of plenty of close and available parking. Otherwise, the rooms are fine. They have a heated pool and hot tub, lawn games, a restaurant and bar with inside and outside seating within a 100 feet or so from the beach. Plus they have live music on the weekends, too. Also, they have a concierge service to help you schedule events and attractions to visit during your stay.

Review:   We stayed at Kauai Shores for 2 nights after Alaska Airlines stranded my family on the island (that's another review). The resort was much nicer than we had expected. We had high expectations after our stay at the Grand Hyatt. The service was great and check in was smooth considering it being last minute. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly well priced and delicious. The pool was wonderful and rooms are decent. My only complaint is they lack privacy if you forget to leave you shades open. But ultimately if you're visit is to explore and enjoy the island, this is a great place to stay. Oh and it is close to an amazing steak restaurant called the Bull Shed!

Review:   Reasonable money saving opportunity on Kauai. Descent hotel directly on the beach. Clean rooms, pool, hot tab, restaurant, parking, bikes, etc. Good location on the East shore with convenient access to the North and South parts of the island. Restaurant food is descent but overpriced with not a big selection. Restaurant has live music in the evenings. Nice walking path along the shore.

Review:   Just a 1 minute walk to the beach. Yoga at sunrise and the famous Lava Lava Beach Club all right there. This location has a free 4 hour bike rental for guest and proved to be a great way to view the Eastern coastline of Kauai. I would have rated higher but our first night was invaded by roaches. They were quick to get our room changed the following morning to a roach free room. I did not think nothing of the little critters but my wife most certainly did. All in all however on our next trip out with the family this is were we will be staying. Truly enjoyed it here... Minus the roaches.

Review:   I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. Great value especially compared to the other hotels on the island. Hotel was clean and fairly up to date, and the front desk staff were awesome. The location right on the beach is great and the pool areas always had chairs to relax on. The lava lava beach club was only ok but I won't let that affect this review.
